A slowly but thrilling told tale of breaking free from a hurtful past
"The witch" was the drama that kept me hooked the most during it's run. Although it starts really slow and tends to use flashbacks a bit too often, the plot manages to stay gripping due to it's excellent source material, beautiful cinematography, fantastic score and heartfelt performances by the main cast. The past of the main leads is peeled back layer by layer. The main lead tries to solve the mysterious deaths seemingly connected to his high school crush. Working as a data miner he digs deeper and deeper in her past and present bordering on stalking. His obsession with her fate drives him forward and - although troublesome to view - also makes you feel sympathetic. As viewer you route for him and want him to succeed. There's also a second storyline interwoven with the main plot which may seem unconnected at first but isn't.The points that keep me from giving 10 stars are the pacing, especially at the beginning, and that some facts should have been revealed a bit sooner. I also think that the flashbacks could have been used less.
It's also important to know that the story isn't a classic romance. There's not much interaction between the leads throughout the show. It's not needed in this story which is more a mystery thriller with a love story at it's core but could dissapoint viewers who love seeing the classic love story tropes.

A thrilling kdrama with an important message
The suicide rate in South Korea as well as in many countries in the world is alarming. So it´s courageous to do a drama about a topic so difficult and sad and make it bearable for the watcher, gripping even, at the same time. And gripping it was!"Tomorrow" basically deals with various aspects of "suicide" in little chapters. The four main characters are more or less intertwined by fate and it´s fascinating watching them and the people they try to save overcome their demons.
The show doesn´t shy away from showing unpopular themes such as "school bullying"; "eating disorders", "mental health issues", "sexual harrassment", "cyberbullying" and even sheds some light on difficult parts of the korean (and japanese) history.
I truly loved the actors portrayal of their respective parts, especially the female lead, who was a really strong female character. But also the rest of the cast was great!
I also think the show way consistently interesting till the final episode. Nothing was dragging. The ending came full circle.
Highly recommended!

A heartfelt, funny and fast paced version of a classic tale.
This was the second version I watched of the manga. IMO the thai version is superior to the korean one. It has got a faster pace, concentrates more on the main plot, exludes the most ridiculous story lines or reinterprets them in a way they make more sense and move the main plot forward. The overall tone is way more comedic, the actors clearly feel like comic-characters. The main leads both manage to stay (fl) or become (ml) likable as the story progresses. They act well in almost all the scenes. The secondary characters stay a bit bland but are okay. I liked the emphasis on the boys friendship, the meaning of family and the true meaning of beeing happy. It's also satisfiing to watch that bullying isn't okay and that bullys should be held accountable.Thymes mother was also a highlight for me.
It was an enjoyable watch from start to finish.

Great slice of life romance with realistic character development
I really loved this drama. I dropped it first because of other dramas I wanted to watch first but came back to it and just couldn't stop watching. The writers took their sweet time to reveal the reasons behind the characters actions but the character development and the main loveline felt pretty organic. The side plots were also very thoughtful and depicted various themes regarding relationships. The OST was great too and this is probably the first time where I loved the last two episodes the most out of all the episodes because everything came full circle. IMO Rowoon was great in this. I watched some other of his dramas already but here he can show his whole range . The FL is great too. I loved her in "Rain or shine". Her character is a bit restrained in the beginning but so cute in the end. The couple has great chemistry and you really route for them as the show progresses. I did. I also think that the second couple was really funny.I think I will rewatch this in the future.
If you like dramas like "Something in the rain", "One spring night", "Navillera" or even "Nevertheless" for their realistic and mature approach you might like this one. The characters start out more flawed than where they end up. All of them. And it is really great to watch.
