I should have cleared it a bit more, but this Emperor Taizong isn't the Taizong of Tang. That probably could confuse you so I wanted to clear it up. This person is Hong Taiji but his Temple Name was Taizong. Two completely different people.

Oh, that's my bad I should have been more clear. Emperor Taizong is the Khan within the Qing Dynasty, yes.

Can someone explain to me why some group invaded in the first place like I'm 5 please
The King of Joseon at the time--King Inju--participated in anti-Manchu policy and sentiment. He also refused to recognize the enthronement of Emperor Taizong of the Qing Dynasty (the invading forces). Joseon was, at the time, aligned with the Ming Dynasty, which directly opposed Emperor Taizong and his Qing Dynasty. Ultimately, the Qing Dynasty invaded Joseon to sever its connection with Ming and to force Joseon to become a tributary/vassal state of Qing.

Since you're unaware of the events surrounding this conflict, I'll choose not to spoil the outcome, but there's a movie called 'The Fortress' which covers the same conflict that goes a bit more into detail.

As already stated by booaugust, forces from the Qing Dynasty also forcefully took women and riches; the former being for the goal of selling them or to force them into concubinage.
