Agreed, The ML 's anguish, love, ambition all are shown very well. There are lots of misunderstandings but there is also character development. I hope The ML, his two besties and Congwen have a good ending. Same goes for the FL and her cousin Su. I am enjoying this drama.

Episode 21, the actor playing the ML is so good, he is just right for this character. His frustration at the trappings of his position and his love, his anger and his gentle side portrayed very very well.

Just finished episode 3. Enjoying the chemistry between the lead pair. Veteran actress Savitri is giving me a headache with her tyrannical mother role. Her character is one dimensional and doesn't do justice to her acting talent. Overall a worthwhile watch

This is one amazing C Drama, Currently watched till ep 26 with Eng Subs and couldn't wait any more. So saw episodes 27 to 36 in raw without understanding even one sentence of Mandarin. But no regrets, am enjoying it anyway as I can guess quite a bit.
