Although I've become an addict of C-dramas because they are so cute and sweet (I just watched Crush and Falling…
As a mainly K-drama watcher myself, I'd have to disagree. Both Yamg & Foe's genre are so incredible different from each other and so are the storytelling that they aim to accomplish. It doesn't make much sense to compare the 2 (or any dramas of diff genres). The score that both dramas received reasonably reflects the satisfaction of the viewers, which means they each did what they're meant to do and did it well. The rating is well deserved, in my opinion.
I've just finished re-watching & Yutu's 2nd proposal scene alone made me love the drama more than I already did. You can feel that he wants to give JingJing the best that he could offer after getting her back from almost losing her. YT drove 200 + km just to ask JJ face to face about their wedding. He wanted to make sure she wasn't holding herself back because of him cause he knows just how kind, understanding and thoughtful of a person JJ is. Her reply however, humbled him. She reminded him that a wedding is between 2 people. It is something not only YT gives to JJ, but also something that JJ gives to him. (honestly at this point I'm already crying) So just like how JJ confessed to him twice, YT proposed for the 2nd time. YT made it clear how his prejudices back then has cost them 13 years and we could also see with him holding back his tears how much he deeply regretted it, how immensely grateful he is that they still have the rest of their lives together. It's during this that I felt JJ's one sided crush all those years ago, leaping through time, were fully reciprocated. With this scene, we see their characters, their growth, their mutual love, respect and appreciation and their strive to become the best versions of themselves for each other. This scene moved me not only because of Guman's lines, but also RB & YY's delivery. Their performance made it real. They made the moment genuine and I'll never not appreciate & applause them for that.
OK, on episode 4 and I don't get the hype. I already skipped a lot because I feel bored 😴 BTW I liked Love…
There is really no need to force yourself to watch it if you're not enjoying it. From the shows you've mentioned, there are many other dramas that might better suit your taste. You are my glory is quite obviously not the same type of drama as those.
As for why people enjoy it, there are simply too many reasons. Some are instantly hooked by the premise, for others it's the dialogue and for most it's the more slow, mature & realistic view on romance & life, just to name a few.
Everything was so beautiful, genuine & heartwarming, I loved every second of the journey. Words can't express how happy and glad I am that it was YangYang & Dilireba that brought Yutu & JingJing to life. They were the perfect cast with the perfect visuals & the perfect chemistry. Also grateful that Guman took the wheel this time as the screenwriter. As a fan of the novel, this went far beyond my expectations for an adaptation. 10/10 would recommend.
She's really beautiful and her acting is very good & comfortable. She also has a pretty singing voice. I see great potential in her so hope to see her appear on more projects. Jiayou!
Newp, you're not the only one. I enjoyed Love o2o so much because Chinese Ghost Story looked like MMOs I have…
Hmmm. While I like the gaming stuff a lot, I'd have to say that YAMG is ultimately not an e-sports drama/novel, but a romance with a bit of gaming in it. It is a bridge for the main leads instead of the main plot. Trying to not give any spoilers but I'd advise to keep that in mind going forward in this series.
I do feel a bit sad for you. But judging from the majority of the comments here, it does feel that way. Most people…
Haha. It's ok. I'm immensely enjoying this drama as a whole. I just like to give some appreciation to the gaming scenes that are so far very well done since as a moba player (casual), these scenes can easily turn very annoying & cringey if not done right. They're doing the novel justice & might I say , even refined the source material which honestly makes me all the more excited for the rest.
I hope others who are not interested in gaming will be able to enjoy the other parts of the drama as well.
At this point I feel like I'm the only one enjoying the gaming scenes (since I play a bit of moba myself), which is understandable. That said, I'm so glad that they're able to play the actual existing game (Honor of Kings) instead of having to change them.
True! The scene-by-scene play is amazing, each actor suits his/her character very well. My only selfish wish is…
I feel kinda sorry (just a teeny tiny bit) for the reporters getting silenced like that, but what can we do? It's literally a national security issue~ hahaha Them getting actually exposed would be a pretty fun change. It'd be a flex tbh & seeing their antics/everyone's response would be interesting. But the original end would be funny as well. Either way I'll gladly accept both.
So far (Ep10) they're doing so well in adapting the novel. The additional details/scenes are also nicely done and I'm just really happy with that. YY & RB are doing a great job portraying the characters too, honestly the perfect casting imo. They really brought the characters I imagined in my head while reading to life~ Looking forward to the rest.
I'd rather have Dam end up with none of the two than with Sun Woo. He was sorry that he hurt her because he likes her but his ways remains unchanged. Dam has made it clear that she was uninterested in him but we're on Ep12 & he's still pestering her & making her uncomfortable. I hope none of the people who think this is ok, do this to others in real life.
Can anyone tell me what happened to ep 3 patient? He was totally ok bt suddenly donated his organs?
If you're talking about the patient with the wife & son, he got into a traffic accident the day after he got discharged. He was unfortunately brain-dead so they agreed for his organs to be donated.
This drama is both sad & satisfying for me. Satisfying cause the trash got what they deserved, sad cause these type of things actually happens in real life & a lot of victims & their family could only suffer without getting justice. With all the injustice and criminals freely roaming around It'd be great if a team like Rainbow actually existed.

HP really isn't called a healing drama for nothing...
