I just re-watched this yesterday it's really still as great as I remembered it. Everything in it, the cast, acting, ost, cinematography, cultural references, the attention given to even the smallest of details & etc are just perfect. Having it set in Busan and using the dialect there really makes it more homey and relatable/friendly imo, genius move. Definitely in my top fav 10 dramas.
My heart hurts for SeoDan & cried with her. I was really rooting for SeungJun to survive & nobody dying. That said, tho I am sad, I can't really blame the writer.
SeoDan first came in as the person who was forever waiting for JeongHyeok. She was finally willing to let him go but if SeungJun survived and went back to SK, she'll just end up waiting again, just for a different person instead, so I'm glad she didn't have to repeat that & we're able to see her being strong & independent. On the other hand, Seri was the one who was hoping & waiting at the end which was very unlike her past self who never waits & was always the first to push people away. Her not being afraid of doing that is just so nice to see, she really came a long way.
I appreciate the character development & contrast of both female leads.
Having so much fun watching this drama. I love the epilogues giving insight into what seems to be just a silly moment/random remark in the episodes. Lots of laughs but also heart in it as well. Whoever casted HB & SYJ together, bless you. The chemistry is just so good, the same goes to the rest of the cast too. Happy ending pls, writer-nim.
There's too many good things to say about this drama. Tbh I don't think my words will do it justice. So instead I'll just advice everyone to prepare tons of tissues.
Honestly I can't relate to ppl saying it's draggy, the pacing feels just right. It's satisfying to watch them actually taking the time to flesh out & develop the characters & their relationships. I saw myself while watching this, remembering my school days, recalling which event in my life taught me which life lesson. It's realistic, it's sweet, with a bit of sadness here & there. I'm really glad I watched this gem.
Fell in love with BaiQian in TMOPB & fell in love with YangMi after watching all the bts & other varieties. Love her personality & sense of humour. I rarely watch anything Chinese nowadays but when I do, you can bet it's cuz Mimi's in it.
