I just watched Love Sick again after many years and I’d forgotten how charming the lead actors are and what a lovely series it is. I also just read the novel for the first and it’s really well written so if you haven’t read it I recommend it

I’ve been dropping more and more lately and it’s a combination of seen it all before and less tolerance for certain BL tropes that I glossed over in my younger days and now I find offensive. I am loving Love Mechanic though

So I watched the last 2 episodes and although I got the ending I wanted it didn’t make up for the overall depressive tone of the season. Even the dour lighting choices stayed the same. I’ll just pretend it doesn’t exist 😊

Hi, how far did you read in the novel? I’m so glad that they took out the shockingly graphic scenes because Jang Jae-young reputation would never recover. It gives KinnPorch a run for it’s money.

I know this season received lot of praise and I can see some of its merits but they didn’t have to pile on the misery. It was almost gratuitous emotional violence.
Season 1 was full of sweetness and whimsy along with the drama which made it so endearing.
As soon as an ex girlfriend appeared on the scene I groaned, goodbye originality hello lazy love triangle.
I’d been hoping for a season 2 but I suppose this is a case of be careful what you wish for.

I was looking for reviews with spoilers ha ha so now I can watch without fear but honestly I’m not sure that l’ll watch the last 4 episodes because even though they’ve given me the ending I was hoping for I don’t want to attach the feelings from this season to the lovely season 1.
I don’t always have this reaction to angsty drama but these characters held a special place in my heart.
If they ever make a season 2 of Semantic Error and go the same route I’ll sue them for emotional damage!

I’m liking it less and less each week and feel like they’re piling on the agony and making a somewhat likable character completely unlikable. They better have a damn good reason for the way he’s treating Seo Joon. I agree that the production values are outstanding and set a standard that most other BLs can’t reach. KinnPorshe is another series that looks like a movie not an afternoon soap it must have cost a fortune although I think they’re making it
