Fate Chooses You brought me here. Same screen writer as well, so I think I'll enjoy this.
I've literally just finished Fate Chooses You today and I came across this while searching for a new drama, without knowing there was a connection between the two.
But from reading the synopsis, I read Goddess Wushuang, Youhu clan and Yuan Zhong, and I was like wait a minute... lol

The Chinese are allergic to good endings. It's the same with novels and dramas lol. It happens so often. It must…
I haven't watched many jdramas but seen plenty of kdramas. Kdramas have much more complete endings than cdramas. Which isn't saying much since it really isn't hard to do. On average, kdramas are usually better too as they're shorter and the episodes usually have substance, whereas cdramas are much longer usually don't have enough of a plot for the quantity of episodes. But I always come back to cdramas since I'm a sucker for the historical genre. There's something about the ancient clothing and sword fighting lol

So, I want to watch this drama but I can't cause i don't watch those drama where the ml has concubines, wives or…
I just finished this drama. I wouldn't recommend it tbh.
To answer your questions.
The ML doesn't have multiple lovers - just the FL. The FL was sent into the palace to join the Emperor's harem, but the Emperor died before he even met her but she was technically be classed as the previous Emperor's woman. The FL never has any sort of romantic feelings towards the previous Emperor or the newly ascended Emperor (who 'loves' her). The ML has the status of a eunuch but he isn't actually a eunuch (he's still a complete man).
Is there chemistry between the ML and FL - not really. There's some cute moments between them in the middle of the drama but I didn't really feel chemistry between them. There's a few kissing scenes, but nothing good. There seems to be quite a few intimate scenes that have just been randomly cut and it's quite jarring while you're watching.
There's only a few positives in this drama for me. One, there's a good build up of the relationship between the ML and FL. Two, the Emperor's acting and progression into someone completely unlikeable was very good.
But, honestly I think there's better dramas you could put your time towards than watching this. I didn't hate it or anything. But, I didn't come away feeling it was remotely special either. Up to you though.

The actor playing the king did such a good job, i can't watch anything of him again.
Yeah ngl he did a really good job. He went from someone kinda pitiful to someone you could completely hate. He wasn't the best looking guy but his acting was really good.

So for everyone worried about the weird editing/cuts and censoring - it isn't that bad. There are about 6 episodes…
The first few times it happened, I started questioning my memory and suspected that I might have even missed an episode here and there.
Is there a reason why they deleted certain scenes?

I've never read the novel but I saw some comments regarding it. Iirc, apparently Xia Jing Shi was different in the novel. He didn't wrong Fu Yi Xiao like he did in the drama, and he was a eunuch of sorts? It's always interesting to see the differences in novels and their adaptations.

If your only complaint about someone's acting is their kissing skills, then it's safe to say that their acting isn't an issue.
A lot of chinese dramas have fairly static kissing scenes, although it has gotten better over the years now and sometimes you do get genuinely good kissing scenes. I've learned to just accept it.
As for production quality - that's a completely separate issue from acting. I guess it just depends on the budget. Again, I've just kinda got used to the chinese drama production and cgi quality. As long as it's not too out of place and jarring, I'm fine with it. In this drama, it wasn't an issue for me.

rare chinese drama W (this isn't meant to be an insult. while I love cdramas, i equally find them to be really flawed. probably because of the quantity of episodes, which results in a lack of quality).
honestly I'd give this like a 8.5/10 in terms of how much enjoyment I got from it
the story/plot isn't overly complicated. it's not perfect but it does quite a good job of keeping things flowing and interesting for the duration of the drama
chinese dramas are like 40 plus episodes, so its rare for the plot to not completely fall about, and it usually gets quite boring for me, but this kept me interested
the best part, was the main focus of the drama, which is the relationship between the leads
they start from enemies and slowly become lovers. it felt like a genuine development. And the relationship was actually healthy, without any random bs drama popping up. theres a common understanding between the two, and when its formed, it remains unbroken without any of the common misunderstands and conflict. also they get together like mid way through the drama, so it's not a case of them only getting together at the very end. they're both strong, likable and smart. Both the actors do a great job of showing love, heart ache, anger etc. Li Qin doesn't surprise me, she's incredible as always. She gives a 10/10 performance everytime. She's beautiful and has the acting to back it up. Zhe Yuan seems to be getting better throughout the dramas I've seen and he was great as well.
This was an easy watch for me and easy recommendation to anyone that enjoys historical action/romance dramas.

Hi,
Does anyone have good website/s with 1080p quality and good subtitles for dramas?
I'd appreciate it if you could reply to this post with the website or send me a message.
Thank you.

What do you mean they changed the actor? You speaking about Sang Yan? His actor remains the same throughout.

Title Hidden Love
I went into this blind, without reading the synopsis or any trailers. I was surprised when the main couple met when the female lead was only like 14 years old. I expected things would get weird and that this wouldn't really be my thing. But it surprised me.

It didn't actually feel wrong or creepy. The female lead is the only one with a crush on the male lead for the longest time. She's like 16 or 17 years old when it really starts and the male lead was 22 years old I think. She likes him as a man, but he doesn't see her in that way, neither does he notice or realise her feelings for him, so it didn't feel wrong. I just wanted to clear this up for anyone that may be hesitant etc.

This drama doesn't really have anything new or amazing. It's very slow in my opinion and the plot is fairly straight forward.

But what it has it a very cute couple. You get to see all their interactions from start to finish over like 8 years. It's very slow, cute and beautiful. There is just this innocence to their relationship, especially when they meet again in Yihe and the male lead starts developing feelings too, that makes it very special. I find it hard to put into words, but it just felt different and special.

All in all. You watch this for the romance between the main leads and nothing else. It's slow and takes its time. Maybe you'll find it boring or maybe it'll be just right for you. I enjoyed it though.

Is there anyone who actually watched it for real? How was it? Muslims don’t need to reply.
Disappointing tbh.

The overall story is very lacking. I don't really know what to say tbh.
I don't know what they were going for. It just doesn't hold your interest for it's length and the writing isn't smart in any way. The way the conflict between the MLs and the villain is concluded is stupid as hell.

Suzy is about as beautiful as it gets and her acting was actually great. I feel like she's improved with each role over the years.
Woo Bin looks the same as always and his acting was great too.
Honestly there's a lot of talented actors in this drama somehow.
The interactions between the main leads are really the only this to look forward to but they can't carry this drama because of the writing. Especially towards the end, I felt there was a lack of consistency in their actions, and the ending was nothing to write home about.

As for the people complaining about culture/religion - well I never care for those things.
I do hate it when kdramas have people speaking in different languages tho because it always sounds ass, but I don't speak Arabic and haven't heard much of it before so it didn't bother me much in this one.

Is it worth watching? Not really.
But if you like fantasy and want to watch Suzy and Woo Bin, go for it. Just skip through other scenes when they get boring.

Not great. Not entirely terrible. Average at best.
There's decent chemistry between the main leads imo and the romance has it's moments.
The second leads are quite good too, especially with the relationship between the second lead and the little kid. It would have been nice if they developed their relationship a little further before the end so we got a better conclusion but it was still fine.

Overall, the plot is just kinda all over the place and the drama lacks identity - like some people have mentioned in comments earlier.
Even by the end, there are some things that don't have a conclusion.
The main conflict between the MC and his mother, and the other acts his mother committed, they don't have the best emotional conclusion. Like I don't believe the MC and FL would get over that without even an emotional outburst. Idk it kinda just felt underwhelming?
The the worst aspect for me personally, are the 'misunderstandings' /fallouts between the MC and FL. The conflict between them was a little weak. It felt kinda forced and therefore was a little stupid and annoying.

Overall though, not bad if you're here entirely for a bit of romance.

I could write an essay, but I'll keep it short.
There is only one reason to watch this drama, which is the romance between the main couple, and that was more than enough to keep my eyes glued to the screen to the very end. The main leads, Yuan Shuai and Jiang Jun, have incredible chemistry. Their interactions were so cute and funny. They bring a smile to your face every time. Anyway, their romance is the strongest part of the drama. If you enjoy romance dramas, then just watch for them alone. Skip the other stuff if you would like.
The second couple didn't really click for me. They were a little boring to watch so I just started skipping/fast forwarding their scenes. Imo they were the weakest part of the drama.
I think Du Lei could have been a much better character. He could have had a better redemption arc or something like that, but the writer kinda messed that up imo. His actions towards the end seemed out of character. It was like the writer just wanted to use him as a tool to create conflict to squeeze out a few more episodes, which weren't really needed.
Personally, I think the story could have been tied up nicely around episode 30, with maybe 1 or 2 more episodes to give everyone a proper ending.
Conclusion: A must watch drama for romance fans.
