I completely skipped the scenes with Indonesia. Se Yoon went to a game overseas and had a hard time, the end. They added nothing to the story. It was disappointing, as while I'm not Indonesian, I have connections to that country. I will compartmentalize this feeling and continue watching, as I'm way too invested in the characters. I hope that the writers learn from this, because if it happens again, I will certainly not be this forgiving.
My favourite drama from last year. I finally watched the last episode last night.
So glad it's getting a second season, as I remember thinking this is the kind of drama that could have one. I just wanna spend more time with these characters.
Heh. I've dropped half the dramas I've started, and finished less than a quarter...
I have this awful habit of not watching the final episodes of anything. Sometimes it's because I don't want it to end, but usually it's because a)I've realised I hate the direction the story is going in and the ending would ruin what I liked about the start 2) the last plotline that was keeping me engaged has been resolved and the rest is useless drama or 3) I simply forgot to finish it, and later decided that I probably never will.
And yet, there've been a few dramas that I was so bored by and disengaged with, but still finished for unknown reasons.
Then there are great drama, such as My Mister and Prison Playbook (which are right up my alley) ... that I never seem to watch more than the first few episodes of, because I feel like I need to pay them attention. When I really should just enjoy them, for some reason never manage to bridge that gap.
I'm also addicted to finding new things to watch. Maybe I secretly love endlessly scrolling, reading synopsises, and thinking about whatever undiscovered story is out there?
I feel no guilt about dropping things. Sure, people worked hard creating these dramas, but my time is precious too, and I should use it how I want.
I'm a manhua reader, and I screeched when I found out this has been adapted. One thing though: How is the ending?
Because the source material got tied up in copyright stuff and may never be finished. And I love it. AND Li Chang Ge is one of my favourite female leads EVER and I need to know what happens before I invest my time and energy in this. Even if the ending is an absolute disaster, I'll still watch this; I came to terms with never finding out what happens years ago... but I still want to know what I'm in for.
I dropped this on about was it, ep 4 or 5? When they were doing that live broadcast.
I found it really sensationalist, boring and full of misinformation. But I'm bored now. I've caught up with every other airing kdrama, and am considering picking this up again. Does it improve?
Also, it felt a lot like the twists were so glaringly obvious. They were intentionally setting us up to believe something only to turn around and go, "Surprise!!! Look at how we fooled you!" ... Don't get me wrong, I like twists, and I like a story that isn't afraid to have a complicated protagonist. But it lacked the necessary subtlety. Is it smarter than I think it is?
He's a decent character. Well, not as morally upright as Choi Yeon Soo, but nowhere near as shady as the antagonists.
I get the vibe that he's content to live in a chaotic and unjust world so long as his loved ones are safe and happy. It just so happens that his wife, who he loves dearly, is a bit of a crusader for justice - and therefore he is willing to be by extension.
He's by no means the most compelling protagonist that I've encountered, but he's not boring. Contrary to the other commenter, I find him pretty easy to like, just difficult to love. It's the kind of like where I wouldn't mind seeing him fail, just to see what happens, but I'm all for seeing him succeed as well. As it is, the nice facade he puts up feels a little fake, but I think that's intentional. Hopefully, we will get to see it crack.
It helps that I rather like Choi Yeon Soo. I think she's my favourite character in this. I want to see her uncover everything and be devastated *chuckles evilly* And then I want to see her pull herself together and make what she can out of the situation. I trust that she will do this - she's the kind of character who succeeds, eventually.
This drama has only 12 episodes. Why am I feeling sad?! Huhuhuhu!!
Not sure if I want it to be longer. This is going to get painful, I know it - and there's nothing worse than drawn out melodrama. Some stories need to be shorter, and I have a feeling this is one of them (Although it's hard to know for sure after just 2 eps)...
I'm sure Kocowa is great, but almost every drama they have is not licensed by viki, or other sites, for my country. It is so frustrating.

I'd say, give it another hour. But idk, could be different in your country.

tl;dr: Please spoil me.
I hope they didn't stuff up the ending, as it hasn't been written yet (and may never be)...

End of story.
They've picked up some popular dramas that don't have a flashy young cast. That was because they were popular.
