My opinion about Xiang Lou is that , he only knows about violence. We saw how he was raised and don’t know when the violence in his life ended. When he is with Wen Xiao Liu, he is learning about violence isn’t everything.

When Xiang Liu came for her, when he told her to give him the poison bug. I knew he was IN LOVE with her. I really hoped she would end up with Xiang Liu. She is the only person who has never seen him as a monster and she cares for him. XY thinks her heart is stone, but it isn't so. She is always protecting people she cares about.

Here is my theory
I think teenage Asuka was in limbo ( meaning everything we saw was not in the real world) because she died a horrible death and her head was missing so she couldn’t move on. So the game was created, since no one was able to find the the head, the game continued. Until they finally had Asuka
play the game to find her own head.

My theory is based on the ending. In the ending it shows she was the child who was brutally murdered. So this time loop was to actually find her missing dead.
