he was not surprised at the kiss but the timing i think? he was about to leave when pete held him for the kiss, idk but i find it so natural and realistic since I have gay friends and i got them to watch dbk and they say the same

me too, all the technicalities that most people mention are explainable and actually acceptable.
i see a lot of people complaining about the plot and storyline for petekao but most don't really watch the scenes. I love how the series focus not only on the sweet and love part of relationship but is trying to maintain a realistic sense. Most people find it boring because they don't get intense kiss or bed scenes tbh (this same issue happens for sotus s). Script-wise, if we look closer, a lot of things that pete say in this series are very quotable, same with his father. I love how pete's character developed in this series. As for their kiss/sweet scenes, i have said this before and would repeat myself over and over, not all couples just kiss and get steamy when they are tgt. Not to mention they are homosexual couple. thailand may be open for this relationship but just like how pete's father termed it in kiss me again, "not all people will understand you, there will still be those who will criticize and make fun of you" given kao's character, he is a tutor (someone that should keep a respectable profile) moreover he is closeted from his mother you can't expect him to go out acting all chummy with his boyfriend.
