Um, I don‘t really care that the show isn’t what you expected. I agree 100% with Imringoloveme and if the show doesn’t meet your expectations move on. There are so many other Dramas to spend time on watching. *shrugs*

Okay, lets try. None of my answers are based on the novels except that it gives a better understanding on the characters.
- L was angry. He wanted to K to be more honest to him. He was like a doll filling the role his parents gave him. When he came out as Kirin he was all that and that is why L understood that K truly loves him and not doing that because it is the role his parents intends him to play.
- Because Y is taking care of him. Obviously D‘s dad and family doesn’t care about him. The phone call showed that very clearly.
- Well, we aren’t at that part of the sto ry yet. But Y told K that he did hurt D in the past and that is why he can’t make a move on him.
- He seems to be afraid of him. Probably he thinks Y is shady or whatever. Well, since he kind of kidnapped him, that seems a logical reaction. The kiss surely made D thinking and since he is upset about Y‘s „that never happened“ attitude. D now is upset and finally starts to see himself as equal as Y, so he is start asking questions.
- Because K was raised that way. He is like a prince who can’t show his true colors to anyone except his closest family and friends. His family is very old High Society in Thailand while K is niveau rich. So he has to keep a noble face and manners under all circumstances.
- Water Infusion. Just to have another CP that they can milk for another Drama. The actors of Y and D were a 4th ranking CP in a different series. See it as establishing a possible selling point.
- Is that a honest question for you? The story of L & K is so thin that it won’t keep people at bay for more than 2 hours. Besides, these type of stories always have a second CP. I think it was very good to add them since it gives us something a bit intriguing.

The show isn’t a mess. The story is so simple that even a „13 year old girl“ can understand it. And of course the show is a pure fan service. They all are. And that is exactly the reason WHY they didn’t go over the script. If you want that you probably should go for a different type of Drama. I was told BL K-Drama is more about the story and less fan service.

Um, I‘m a bit surprised by all the negative comments here. No one did bother with the novel? Besides a few changes for the better(!) they follow the novel very closely. Of course they could have made a very mediocre novel a stellar Drama script but honestly this never happened in any RomCom Drama from any country. So, therefore for me this show is meeting my expectations fully plus eye candy and catchy music.

Totally understand you. Went through all the episodes and neither the script nor the cinematography got better. I would say that drama isn’t just our cup of tea.

You weren't the only one. Tencent posted way more snippets about that couple than the first after they noticed that people liked them way better. There are also a few good fanvideos about this CP. DW was the only good actor in this. That guy could outshine both the leads just with sitting around.

True but from the spoilers of MV, ED, OP he breaks up with her but they are still united against the empress. So probably 1st princess is successful in waking him up and showing him there is more than marriage.

I know most people here feel sorry for 2nd ML but my focus lays on our first OTP. The reverse of divorce agreement was just hilarious. And this MLC is surely CC since he it too intelligent and two-faced for how he was described before. He even knows how to play the empress.

Well, that isn’t new. It was the same the first two seasons. Only this time the victim is nice and not ambitious. But he is a better fit with elder sister who wants to have him but not as some puppet.

I think he turns when a memory is triggered. I think he is her CC but just bc of Amnesia he is different. He is too similar to be different and already fell for her again. I’m pretty sure we don’t have switches anymore when he remembers her.

The screenwriter is the same. MLC was even mentioned in Hypnotic sending a marriage request for princess Kangle. So you can say they are from the same universe.

The plot is only confusing bc we don’t understand what is going on yet. EL is know for its onion like script. It also is the reason bc many like it. We have enough romantic dramas with see through plots.

I didn’t complain about cheap looking but compared to S2 they seem to have less money since it rather has the S1 vibe. Probably Tencent didn’t believe that it would be that popular again or they have too many Dramas with additional seasons. At least they save money for ads. Whatever.

Someone here complained about too many kisses but both ML are from modern times (even though MLC wasn’t from it originally), in love and rather passionate than sweet. Handholding and a few pecks between spouses would be rather weird in my opinion.

For me it looks like she wants to take over her body. Probably it is kind of Prequel for her and we learn the reason why both Tan er merged in first place. I watched OP and ED, what I normally don’t do to avoid spoilers but both show Tan Er as Empress but it could be a ruse Tan Er pretending to be her. MLC surely seem to merge with this one the more he remembers. 1st male consort and 1st sister seem to become at least partners and Tan Er and he breaks up what is a bit sad but Tan Er isn’t exactly fair to him. He isn’t MLC. If 1st sister gets the guy this time the actress will finally don‘t take the evil road after Hypnotic and Rose&Tiger ;).

The worlds of Love by Hypnotic and Eternal Love seems to have merged. It is hilarious. The outfits and shooting areas look a bit tacky, so they probably had less money than for Season 2.

I think LS is more juicy and therefore more popular with international viewers. Also Tencent seems to want push both the actress and actor into the market more. RJL and XF otherwise are having already a few popular dramas under their wing. Maybe they think this ones sells without much advertising. They forget that we tend to count that as neglect and unfavor. Especially with RJL I get this vibe since Under Power was an incredible hit despite having very few ads. So I cross my fingers for this one too even though is lives mostly from the actresses and actors work than the script.

Plot not really exciting and new but I really like the main couple. Actress and actor have a good chemistry and the entire feeling of this Drama is very charming without being too fluffy. Outstanding OST.

I have no problem with someone being too self conscious and diplomatic but this show it makes him looking too perfect. People who watch variety shows want to see, at least, a tiny bit of the real person and not of the actor/entertainment persona. I remember that Deng Lun said once that he is in that much VS bc he is totally different in his Dramas and wanted to show his more real self. Of course, these shows are scripted as well but the contrast between YCY and Neo is too much. For me it feels like she is the one who keeps the non-story part going. I watched two more episodes and it still didn't changed. I think this type of show isn't his cup of tea and he should choose a better fitting one next time.

I loved YCY's answer when he asked her what she would do if he would confess: Yeah boy, take a number. I was lol so much.

So far (finished EP5) I really like it. I don't know how much it is staged but if Ian Wang is like that for real he is great boyfriend material. Handsome but not too much, down to earth and can handle his own stuff properly. Someone who would be great to rely on. His chemistry with LYT is nice and buddy like.

My least fav couple is Neo and YCY. They have the best chemistry in their story part but not in their "real" life. I love that YCY is spunky and clearly stating what she likes and not. But she often rolls over Neo without much care. Since men are the more fragile when it comes to feelings ("negative" ones like anger are feelings too), she is too capable. Leave the boy some chance to shine too. For me, at the moment he is rather her accessory than her partner.

Jasper & QL are the best matched. They are so perfectly synchronous that it is disturbing. But regarding their age anything other would disturb me since from grown adults I don't want to see spoiled bratty behavior. Their chemistry in the story part is the deepest (they are seasoned actors for sure) but not out of it. They rather give the siblings or BFF vibe. Watching them is like a relaxed breeze.

It has for you. For me the contrast was too stark until yet. The comedy and politics are parallel like two different worlds. I‘m missing the promised fusion. But nice that it works for you.
