The mixed reviews IMHO have to do with the expectations of the viewers. If you just want a light romance then this Drama isn’t for you. It is about two people who are connected to each other by past. It is about healing after a terrible loss and accepting the life as it is. It is a very mature story that shows the world can be a cruel and happy place. Both characters are so perfect for each other that it hurts sometimes.

If she had residue from a drinking night it was a stupid since breathalyzer test levels usually are lower. Otherwise someone driving like that isn't thinking logical anyway or she would have called an replacement driver. She was lucky no one was hurt.

I know enough older people who aren’t exactly mature but generally you can say older ones are more chill since they know not everything is pink or black. Life is grey and even can be the spice.

I think many of the trashing and do called toxicity comes from the too young audience. This got a P18 rating not for anything explicit going on but being mentally an adult. Relationships are far from the ideal dream lots of people imagine. Probably there was too much fluff mixed with reality and that was what made such a stark contrast. They also tend to forget they are men and men usually have a different outlook to sex or even relationships. Lian is so stereotypical macho male saving-the-prince-even-before-himself I have seen in so many RL relationships that it makes me laughing. Despite people call him toxic since Drama have to be an ideal world. So many people here got confused by this no brainer story bc is doesn’t went how they imagined a relationship to be and taking everything too serious shows immaturity. The script for sure is the weak point but more since it was done sloppy and not bc it showed something unusual.

I‘m sorry for the hate you got that you had to comment that you didn’t wanted to hurt people since you stated your opinion. The real toxicity are fans who spam this section without reason and just want to be loud. The more you write and the more likes you get the better your account gets rated. If those people would put their ideals on themselves we would have a plattform for all without someone getting bullied but what did I say about an ideal world? ;)

Well, perhaps to people who like that show the haters are something they don’t understand. It is whining and ranting like little children in the supermarket. The show isn’t a live shooting system like most KDramas and won’t change.

I don’t know how you deal with shows and movies but the normal behavior would be: ‚Juck, that show sucks. Where is my remote control?‘. Some people will show up in a forum leave out their dissatisfaction and move on with their life.
But seeing always the same people after the newest episode airs, us people who like the show, ask if they just a haters or rant bc they can. That the show still has a relatively high rating shows that the silent mass of raters do like the show indeed and the people who dislike it are a minority but a very loud one.

It is funny how I think that exactly about you. And since I’m in a longer steady relationship than probably your age, please let myself decide what is healthy in RL.

I expect people to react like normal human beings in a Drama as well or otherwise I can’t connect with them. If you expect a totally different behavior then a contemporary Slice of Life RomCom may not be your cup of tea at all.

That is the decision of the original publisher. Since it isn’t exactly explicit YT seem okay with it. Male nipples isn’t a problem. 🤣

Because an adult audience usually knows how a real relationship works and doesn’t cry toxic when not everything is pink. That people even get confused by this no brainer plot also shows that decision was a good one.

If they have a toxic relationship then at least 50% of all people have. At the beginning of an relationship there are insecurities and you always want to show your best side to your partner. Who hasn’t said hurtful words to the other to shield him/herself? That happens in every relationship and the healthy way is to talk about this and they did. K told L how much it hurt him that he called him a doll and L was sorry. And pampering your partner when you have the means that is also natural. And about the „spice“ L asked K twice for his consent what is pretty rare in Dramas. And that a 27 years old virgin and a just evolved Twen aren’t horny with each other after confirming their feelings for each other, unrealistic. The show surely also has the P18 stamp for attracting a more mature audience who knows a how to have a relationship for longer.

Can I hug you? Reasonable watchers seem to be rare these days.

Um, I don‘t really care that the show isn’t what you expected. I agree 100% with Imringoloveme and if the show doesn’t meet your expectations move on. There are so many other Dramas to spend time on watching. *shrugs*

Okay, lets try. None of my answers are based on the novels except that it gives a better understanding on the characters.
- L was angry. He wanted to K to be more honest to him. He was like a doll filling the role his parents gave him. When he came out as Kirin he was all that and that is why L understood that K truly loves him and not doing that because it is the role his parents intends him to play.
- Because Y is taking care of him. Obviously D‘s dad and family doesn’t care about him. The phone call showed that very clearly.
- Well, we aren’t at that part of the sto ry yet. But Y told K that he did hurt D in the past and that is why he can’t make a move on him.
- He seems to be afraid of him. Probably he thinks Y is shady or whatever. Well, since he kind of kidnapped him, that seems a logical reaction. The kiss surely made D thinking and since he is upset about Y‘s „that never happened“ attitude. D now is upset and finally starts to see himself as equal as Y, so he is start asking questions.
- Because K was raised that way. He is like a prince who can’t show his true colors to anyone except his closest family and friends. His family is very old High Society in Thailand while K is niveau rich. So he has to keep a noble face and manners under all circumstances.
- Water Infusion. Just to have another CP that they can milk for another Drama. The actors of Y and D were a 4th ranking CP in a different series. See it as establishing a possible selling point.
- Is that a honest question for you? The story of L & K is so thin that it won’t keep people at bay for more than 2 hours. Besides, these type of stories always have a second CP. I think it was very good to add them since it gives us something a bit intriguing.

The show isn’t a mess. The story is so simple that even a „13 year old girl“ can understand it. And of course the show is a pure fan service. They all are. And that is exactly the reason WHY they didn’t go over the script. If you want that you probably should go for a different type of Drama. I was told BL K-Drama is more about the story and less fan service.

Um, I‘m a bit surprised by all the negative comments here. No one did bother with the novel? Besides a few changes for the better(!) they follow the novel very closely. Of course they could have made a very mediocre novel a stellar Drama script but honestly this never happened in any RomCom Drama from any country. So, therefore for me this show is meeting my expectations fully plus eye candy and catchy music.

Totally understand you. Went through all the episodes and neither the script nor the cinematography got better. I would say that drama isn’t just our cup of tea.

You weren't the only one. Tencent posted way more snippets about that couple than the first after they noticed that people liked them way better. There are also a few good fanvideos about this CP. DW was the only good actor in this. That guy could outshine both the leads just with sitting around.
