I don't care if they have completed their military i don't want to see their wrinkly faces doing boy group dances that they have clearly outgrown..as for 25 yr its too old for a debut especially since the group will be a 5 yr group , i would rather have younger member and that's who i am voting for

I am a 2nd ten stan and i remember quite vividly bts not being the most talented out there not the most good looking . they have good music but so did other groups. At the end it came down to sympathy and likeability because they were not the typical good looking idols especially compared to exo. We have to admit that international fans have some sort of weird jealousy /pick me standards about good looking men and how they are viewed as less talented , something that i never see in girl groups because visuals are everything . so yeah sympathy started it all.

Did he call them ugly tho? I remember him saying they looked mature because they look older than their age and heavy for the dance , so i don't see whats so bad about pointing out why it wont work out . they ended up being eliminated after all of that further proving his point .

Good because we will agree to disagree. You will not convince me that visuals don't matter for a kpop idol and there is a difference between being fit and starving like most female idols which i also think its bad and its exactly why i only stan older girl groups . However , we are not talking about starvation here we are talking about being fit and good looking a basic requirement for an idol

We are not talking in general here, arent we ? We are talking about idols. What do you mean looks are not a requirement for being a kpop idol , its is and lets not be delusional and say things that are not true. To be an idol you have to have the looks and some talent . if you don't want to be judged on look be an artist and rely completely on your talent to succeed . being an idol is a conscoiuos choice you make no one is forcing you into it tho , so its not like they are saying oh lose weight or you don't meet the visual criteria to an average person walking on the street.

I think its realistic to say that he won't debut at 30 . he already pursued being a kpop idol for more than 10 yrs it just didn't work out for him and that's okay , he should start pursuing other things . i said the same thing about hwi last season and people threw a fit and guess what he didn't debut . jiwon was 25 and very good looking , one of the most good looking there. he debuted despite his age even tho i personally didn't like him nor voted for him but i can understand how people would , on the other hand donghon is more of a hwi situation and i don't see any 25 yr old debuting this year, zb1 was an exceptionally older group with zhao debuting at 23 , hungbin at 22 and most of the members being in their 20s except yujin, gunwook and the good looking guy don't remember his name. So i don't think we will have such an old group for this season but who knows

I am pretty sure i would not apply to be an idol! I don't have the looks for it , just like i wouldn't apply to be a doctor because i don't have that talent . so how would i feel ? I would be okay about it . i just don't meet the requirement for the job

Now for my rant about the show, what do you mean 46 Chinese trainees who we have barely seen are eliminated like wtf??? Also boys plant k why the hell is the 30 yr old guy still there taking someones spot when we know he will never debut .like whats the point. The whole thing feels so shady honestly

Not the snowflakes whining about the mentor telling trainees to lose wheight or that they look mature. You do realize that visuals are a big factor in being an idol and that includes male idols not just female idols , because some of you sensitive pick mes think men shouldn't be evaluated on their looks to be apart of a boy group lmao. Lets be clear looks are a basic requirement then comes talent and if you don't have the looks you will have to be out of the world talented to compensate . not everyone is going to pull a bts or stray kidz there is a limit to the sympathy / ugly boy groups lovers. It has always been like that and as an og fan since 2nd gen things have gotten so much better for men and so much worse for women in kpop thanks to the pickmes international fans

I don't care what hair and clothes they are choosing to make them look older when you can cast older actresses who are 40 . unless most of the drama is about them being in their 20s or 30s and mean reply series type of thing . it doesn't justify the casting because based on the synopsis most of the drama is about them in their 40s 🤡
