Slow-Paced, but Full of Heart – and Laughs
Honestly, I was more disappointed by the reviews than by the series itself. Only You kept me entertained, even though at times the pacing was slow – their kisses sometimes felt like neither of them actually wanted to be there. Orm could have filled a whole bathtub with tears this season, but debating whether the bodyguard wears heels felt completely unnecessary.
I really appreciated that the series focused more on the emotional side than on intimacy, which worked well for me. Honestly, 10 episodes would have been enough, but I have to praise the timing – just when I thought nothing more would happen, a big twist came, and the story moved forward.
The supporting roles of the three bodyguards were absolutely amazing! Every time they appeared on screen, I couldn’t stop laughing.
I recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind watching the slow development of a relationship, because the emotional journey was beautiful. I’d love to see Ling–Orm in something more serious in the future, and I wouldn’t mind a script with a passionate kiss or swapped roles – masc Orm and fem Ling could pleasantly surprise us. Both actresses are incredibly talented, and their chemistry still feels underutilized.
