He isn't very nice, but to be fair, he didn't know Hiro came to work extra early so he could leave early, or that he had plans after work, and that's because Hiro was too scared to tell him.
He probably only says that Hiro works slow because Hiro says that about himself all the time (he's very hard on himself), so the supervisor believes him. They hinted at this when his team lead tried to talk to him about it, but was interrupted by a co-worker arriving to work.
Hopefully Hiro gains some confidence and speaks up for himself in the future.
Every good BL on MDL is underrated, and the shitty ones are highly OVER-rated. That said, to me an 8.2/10 rating…

I can enjoy some cutesy, romantic, but not sexual BL, but it does get old and unrealistic if the relationship never progresses to be sexual at all. I think maybe it's a matter of whether the target audience of the BL is females or males.

No way, Season 2 is way better than the movie, so skip the movie and watch Season 2! I watched both and still felt it was worth watching Season 2, but the movie was of course a waste of time.

I just watched the movie and then Season 2 in the same night, and it was totally worth it to me, especially that flashback scene at the very end, after the movie ending! Major plot point not in the movie! 😏

I share your frustration, but after watching Season 2 right after watching the movie (waste of time, but I didn't know, lol), it was still worth watching for all the added scenes, especially the new ending!

No, they added a MAJOR flashback scene at the end of the 2nd season that isn't in the movie. They added a lot of scenes throughout the season, so it's worth watching Season 2 if you watched and enjoyed the movie, but I do wish they'd never released the movie and just waited until Season 2 was ready.
