People are saying the romance is lacking in this drama . Anyone have any historical drama recomendation with lots of romance? Something like ''the prisoner of beauty''.
I came for the romance, but that part is disappointing me. I like MLs that are willing to burn the world in order to protect the FLs. I like leads that understand each other without questions or doubt. But ML in this story keeps disappointing me. I haven’t seen him making any grand effort to help FL. He would rather watch her suffer, than let go of his own pride (so many scenes where he watches her suffer, while keeping his head up high, his chin up, and a stoic face. Like he doesn’t care). I prefer epic love stories, where leads would do anything for each other. Anyone have recommendations of dramas like this? Something like the love story in “the prisoner of beauty”?
I have a question about the dream scene in the last episode.
In the dream, Xie Wei kills himself. Is the dream showing what happened is the other life, after Xue Ning kills herself? And when he looks at the hairpin, does it belong to Xue Ning? Does this mean the he loved her in the other life too? In the first episode, when Yan Lin finds Xue Ning dead, he is surprised, and acuses Xie Wei of killing her, so I think They didnt intend to kill her. This also shows that Xie Wei loved her. Did I get it right?
