During the last part of the court scene, on episode 35, when the emperor were condemning Yu Guodong, the ML looked shocked/displeased about something the emperor said. Latter, Yu Guodong told his son that the emperor didn’t care about punishing the real vilain, and instead only wanted the family money, so he had given him a way out (let him free for 3 days for him to find a scapegoat). Was that really true, and the ML reaction during court was because he realized the emperor only cared about the money, and not justice? And is that why the ML asked to retire? Because he didn’t trust the emperor, and there was no more bond between them?
Also, in the end, did the ML go back to the army? I think he mentions being a regional commander. Is that the same post Want Yi had before he lost it in the end?
When Alex invites her to work with him on his next company, he says there is a “personal reason” to why he is inviting her. They never showed what he says to her. Anyone knows?
Did the FL know that the ML was alive during the 4 years they were apart? And what happened to the doctor? Was he experimenting the medicines on himself, and that’s why he looked sick? And when ML came back, did he become emperor? When he tells the fairytale to his son, it seems like he is hinting that he never wished to be an emperor, and wanted to live among the people as a commoner. (So, did they hide from the world that he was alive?)

Did the main couple end up together in the end?
Was it a happy ending?
Why is the rating so low?
Did someone die?
