My objective review. It's a good watch. I'm not mad about it.
I have observed that in every cdrama the women is always right even when she isn't and the ML will always be the one asking for forgiveness even when he is being wrong. This drama is a great exemple. She was doing everything she wanted and didn't follow the rules and he was the one who had to suffer the consequences of her actions from start to finish. What couldn't she understand in " mind your business" ? She was self rightious. Yes, she suffered, but i'm sorry girl you did see that coming.
Anyway i wasn't supprise by the plot. I expected it, nothing new
I don't know why this has such a low review. I don't only recommand but i hope you can learn from it. This drama deserve an oscar (real one). We should forever be grateful to be born into peace. Life is hard, but at least we are alive and have people who care about us. Let's grow old and healthy.
This was great but the ending was too open and made me feel like a season 2 was needed. The drama was really good. I knew from the start what kind of plot twist we will have, so no suprised. I just regret that we didn't get a masterclass plan revenge but a banal plan at the end to assure victory. Luck was on his side that's all. I still greatly recommand !!
I just have one thing to say : "well done !". Great storyline, great plot, great acting ( even the supporting actors were on point), Great chemistry between the leads. I need more of this kind of story. This was a refreshing enemies to lovers story with no nonsense and hysteric female lead. She was stubborn but she was well educated !!! She knew how to be a wife, she knew how to say sorry and she knew when to set boundaries. Most of the time, those female lead are going everywere looking for trouble and the male lead have to come and clean up. I couldn't help but feel like they were give a bad representation of women.
Anyway this drama will be recorded as a masterpiece.
it was overall a good drama. I will just say that i had really high expectations for this drama but even if i enjoy watching it, the drama didn't hit hard enough for me to say " oh , it deserve to be a classic".
I believe the FL mother was carrying this drama alone like the first part was so intense because of her. The drama could have end there and was dragged with a vengence.
The moral of this drama is " Young people should act like young people and not meddle in old generation feud because they can't cope with it".
She was late to understand and had to live with that karma. She succeed in her revenge only because the old generation was prepare for everything. She herself couldn't even secure a single evidence.
This drama was good. It has a good plot with a very well structured ending. Nowdays, those producers like to do open ending which are really confusing or bad ending to make you distress,but forget that we are suppose to enjoy it as much as the drama ( even if it is a sad ending at least make it so that we understand the pro and corns).
Now about "The Rebel princess", the title and the drama have nothing in common. She was not a figure of women emancipation, a fighter or a deviant. She was a just a princess but a very very proud and courageous princess.
I didn't like the fact that every man in this drama was in love with the female lead but I feel bad for her because all those men use her as justification for their actions.
Many betrayed her but at the same time many helped her. Sometime i will ask myself if she wasn't being ignorant on purpose because she was too attached to family affection.
What make this drama even better is the relationship between the male lead and the female lead. When we talk about arranged marriage or forced marriage in drama now, the main couple often go through random contracts or arrangements. They go through thousand of misunderstanding and drag the confession for most of the serie. This one was really realistic. She was forced, he did something bad on the wedding day, she was angry, he did every think to comfort her and win her heart because at the end of the day they were still strangers. they learn about each other an open the door of a healthy relationship. Simple ! No dragging, no hate , no nonsense third party !!!!!
People should tell does producers to stop doing those contract marriage drama because marriage itself has always been a contract !!
I have watch many drama and so far this is one or not the most satisfying.
They always says : "wait, it is not the right time, endure, follow the rules".
I'm so proud of the male lead. I can tolerate you and you take it for granted. Not only you don't stop you add insult to the injuries. It's not how it work !!
I hope to see more of this in historical drama.

I didn't know the FL age my bad. I just have some trouble with old male lead and i think i have at least that right. Not everyone is comfortable watching an old couple on screen and i'm saying this with no hate. I have watch a drama with the male lead before and it was not enjoyable. I just don't like old male lead. If you want to recommand the drama you can say it, i'm open.

I feel like this drama was dragged to the point of no return. Everyone in this drama is crazy and don't deserve to be respected. They are always talking about morals, honor, justice, fairness will all they is repeating the same mistake again and again. Parents drag their children in their mistake and children are so oppress that they can only fall deeper. At the end of the day everyone in this drama was obssessed by power. There is no right or wrong in a war only a winner and a loser. But that itself is wrong because the wrong is in the war itself. If i was in this drama i will probably be labelled as a tyrant, killing people like insect because they complain to much. If a was a charmer like the prince i would just go and live my life in a seclude place with the women i love or another dimension and let the other fight as much as they want. I will make sure nobody can find me.

The FL is trash. She should have just go and die somewhere. What she did to him was not human. That man was so sweet ! So great ! But he meet a crazy bitch. He was still with her after what she kill their bady. He was suffering but he was still there. But what did she do ?? If she really had remorse she would have lay low and allow him to meet someone better. In real life she may be dead.
I watch this drama when it aired and i still hated her. Every time i think about what she did i just want to enter the book an find a new woman for the ML
After episode 29 i went on pause now that all the episode are out i'm going into it and while watching ep 31. I have never wanted to slaped some sense in someone other than Ji Xing.
