big actors always have haters, i've been following Victoria for a long time every time her drama airs the haters flock in faster than her fans plus even her fans don’t bother come here and rate the dramas so most of it is just haters + regular viewer you can spot so many in this comment section. esp true with Victoria cause most of the time she is first billing for her dramas and is popular for a long time so alot of people have grudges about that or other things thats why most of her dramas rating here in mdl dont get alot of good ratings even if the drama is popular. plus they all have the same hating script either about age, or acting but they never expand on it its always “i dont like her but like ml” yeah sure 😂

her character was supposed to be like this minus the trauma and past life memories even in her second life she still have similar traits. i read the novel many times Chu Yu has always had this type of character rebellious in nature and dare to love and hate. that was why in her first life she went against everything and elope with gu chusheng . gu chusheng flashbacks recalls chu yu as rude/ non lady like and ignore gendernorms thats why he have inferiority complex and didn’t realized he liked her until she died.

from what i remember in the novel the father have concubines and those brothers are born from different mothers only Wei Jun and Wei Yun are from same mother. They changed it here i think
2 episodes in and im so hooked alr. I lowered my expectations so much but it exceeded my expectations lol. the shots looks beautiful and the fighting scene are so crisp not that kind of head hurting slow mo. I love Song Qian portrayal of Chu Yu so much gosh only little issue is the dubbing but im slowly getting used to it
