They cut so many of ml and fl scene and give screen time to the side characters and couples. Even Fl and ML dead brother and Gu Chusheng have more chemistry. I could say the same to ML he doesn’t sell it to me either. The way he protray Wei Yun characters is off, always looking like a love sick puppy, he try hard to look young but i couldnt see it. Maybe it’s the way it is written but the confession is too abrupt and i don’t even know when the ML fell in love with the FL so obviously its normal you don’t see any love she have for him in that scene plus they cut it away right after he confessed so obv you cant see fl say anything . Later on after they get together the chemistry is okay but we barely see them cause they keep removing all the main couple scenes.

How can she show emotion in that situation? Plus they cut out every emotional scenes she has in this drama. They cut out her family orgin story which make her reasoning to marry into wei family unreasonable, cut out her response to his confession. Yes in the script they shoot she responds to the ml about them being unsuitable because she is his sister in law. Any many more scenes between the main characters.

Can say whatever you want about her acting but Victoria had always known to have an all natural face, few in c-ent but its basically certified known to all. Botox where? Her forehead and cheeks have been like this for a long time a lot of people even use that to mock her for a long time. in this drama they put so much smoothening filter you can’t barely even see her features bc someone might need it but for sq personally i think she’s way prettier without it. What people can’t age gracefully now?
Also the point about being a kpop idol, I just see it as pure biased, just because the actors used to be idols how does that make a difference ? she’s been acting seriously for almost 10 years plus Song Qian acting status is way higher than some actors nowadays, the market have their own eyes. So many similar situations just because they are an idol and better looking, for some actors fan their acting is automatically considered as bad and they nitpick scenes in drama (like picking bones in eggs).

Alot of outrage from the fans about the leads screentime being cut. they just fill it with useless side cp subplot and cutting out most of the main characters scenes.

One thing i really like about sq portrayal of Chu Yu is just the natural elegance she has. she is tall and posture and back is always straight. Just perfect, maybe cause she’s graduated from a dancing school I can’t help but notice it and compare it to other costumes drama i’ve seen.

Although some of the love scenes shots are a bit weird with the angle and cut, the fight and war scenes are really well made. Very impressive scale compared to some drama where i see only like 50 soldiers vs another 50. Maybe all their budget for S drama went to that lol. Also props to Vic, the fighting choreography is really good and she’s so convincing as a female general they over do a bit on a slow mo but it still look good for most part. Esp with recent eps facing Zhao Yue no one can convince me her acting is bad. I have been seeing her grow since her first few dramas which were really bad, but to say her acting is bad or hasn’t improved or change is crazy. She’s a way better actress than some of the popular ones I’ve seen.

Yeah i understand Chu Jin too they both are cute. As for Bro sometimes i just feel he think of qingping as a younger sister i feel like he look more doting to Chu Yu than his supposed love partner but at least his character kind of accurate to the book maybe they will have more lovely scene together. I quite like them as well.

Another post asking if she was dubbed and you responded saying she might not have enough diction to use her original voice when in actuality every one is dubbed and Victoria mostly use original voice for her dramas. Not unpopular if many people agree with it. Song Qian is perfect for this role and obviously the investors believed in it. I had always imagined her playing as Chu Yu even before knowing she was going to lead in this drama. You saying this with a brand new account with one drama on your list I know what you are.

don’t say you are a novel fan alot of novel fans have no issue with Song Qian as the female lead only with the plot changes. TBH If i were an actual novel fan of this book i would be more livid at the script cause they removed all rebirth parts and all the main character (yes Chu Yu is the only MC in this book and everything is her pov) back story after removing all Chu Yu important parts and give it all to Wei Family and ML background and making it a whole different story I would be more mad at that not screaming about chemistry and having her put up with ml immaturity and to accept his feelings all day long. If you even read the book Chu Yu rejects Wei Yun and they were apart for a long time lmao if they were to really adapt that i could imagine your comments. you are obviously dyx fan just the way you are defending him in the comments my impression of him getting worse and worse because of his fans!
