Honest review of MMDIY up to ep.10 (yes i watched weekly) : This episode was not the worst out the series but not the best one. (as this show have to pick up the pace when they have only 2 more episodes.) having good cinematography is the bare minimum for a company that have gotten money for one of the most recognizable GL’s on youtube (GAP). However, the problem is (for many who drop it before at least episode 5) is and still is pacing from the angst between Kim and Wan.
First of all, Its been 10 episodes, more than 3+ year relationship of Wan and Kim been frenemies, friends, and friends with benefits. And you saying that Kim didn’t realize that Wan liked her? Really?! Mon and Mali knew BEFORE the present friendship breakup the two MAIN characters….?. Second, why is the only dream sequence for Dawan? If Kim also liked Wan, we could’ve had another dream sequence for Kim then the audience wouldn’t wonder why would they together in the first place. I understand that their dad’s fucked up their relationship, the issues with moms, Dawan’s depression but honestly it make sense for them to be a couple even more (knew each other for years, their situations with their own life, AND they worked TOGETHER.)
Also this is for the many GL and BL’s that uses the opposite gender create issues in couples, STOP THIS MADNESS. Why in the world did we need Marwin/ Heng in this show. No hate to Heng or any actors/actresses cause he is trying get his bag like everyone else but get this man’s character a girlfriend or boyfriend who actually like him in these GLs. Even if you added him, Jessie (Which why did she disappear for most of the series?) could’ve been a true villian and take Dawan away from Kim so It wouldn’t be one sided.
Besides all of that, this show is not for those who like fast paced stories but this is the only one that comes on during the middle of the week and I lasted this far🤷🏽♀️. (No hate to actors/actresses cause it ain’t their fault lol)
