Right. At one point, I thought I'd missed a scene. The narrative is quite chaotic, yet the two main characters still manage to keep me hooked on the series... it's strange.

I am French, and scenes like this are now quite rare in French or American series, except to denounce something or because it is the theme of the series, but rarely to ‘romanticise’ a scene, as I have seen in Poisonous Love, Dangerous Queen or even recently in The Earth where they are drunk... I hope that the scriptwriters will pay more attention to this in the future, following comments from the audience. Than does indeed become much more forward, and we understand that this is due to the drugs. Vicky understands this too, yet she lets it happen, so we can consider that she is taking advantage of the situation. These drugs don't all work in the same way, and Than doesn't necessarily seem to be in control of her actions, but she does seem to be aware of them... However, it's still a bit borderline, even really cringe-worthy on Vicky's part to let things happen, especially since she repeats the next morning that she wonders if it was the effects of the drugs or not...

@BingeWatcher I agree with you that she is being reckless, and that it is all the more surprising coming from a police officer. She goes to this meeting unarmed, without any real backup from her friend. She just sends him the address of the bar, just in case.
She's going to see a guy who publicly assaulted someone in a shop and who may have committed murder. So yes, given her training and what we know about her from her service record, her character and what she did at boot camp, we would expect her to be more cautious and careful. But then we saw that she was willing to break the rules when it came to Vicky, and that in those situations she didn't think things through as much as we might have expected. I think they're playing on the character's personality, which sometimes lets her emotions get the better of her, like when she searches Vicky's house without really paying attention... Here, it's her emotions about her father's death that possibly take over and make her less focused.

I completely agree with everything you say. And I think there's real chemistry between the two actresses, which really comes across on screen. The scenes between them are tender, complicit and intense. They act really well. Even more so in this episode 6. The final scene is really poignant!
I started watching this series thinking it would be fairly light-hearted, especially with the initial premise of the training camp... but in the end, it's a very good series with a really interesting storyline that evolves and excellent actresses. As usual, the male roles are quite caricatural and overplayed, but we'll overlook that.
And indeed, it's a series in the vein of ClaireBell... Truly my two favourite series among the latest ones I've watched. Only one episode left. I think the final episode is going to be very intense. I can't wait for next week, but I'm also sad that the series is ending so quickly. I hope there will be an extra special episode. And if so, I hope it won't be too sappy...

I was eagerly awaiting the episode with Namnung and Sunny... and yet... I enjoyed the one with Cherry and Frame much more.

Mais c'est vrai que pour moi, les séries qui m'ont vraiment plu, cette année, étaient celles qui sortaient de ce cadre là : ClaireBell, Runaway (que je ne pensais pas regarder à la base et dont j'ai vraiment aimé l'histoire, plus que les effets spéciaux XD), même Love Design était plus originale. Queendom, aussi a une trame narrative qui sort du schéma classique. Bien aimé Petrichor et les Reverse (with me / 4 you) aussi.

We're not fooled, we know very well that all reality TV shows, not just dating shows, are entertainment and that the participants don't necessarily have real freedom of choice. But perhaps we can hope that at some point even the producers will open that damn door to Namnung, so that Sunny can choose her... even if it's scripted... which would show how our societies have evolved with regard to same-sex couples and how open-minded the majority has become. And not just to make two women kiss to satisfy men's fantasies.

Final episode: I am convinced that if Namnung had opened her door, Sunny would have chosen her for good...

I don't think the warden is any freer or happier than Dao... and that each of them finds comfort in the other and an escape from their circumstances and their lives. I don't think being a prison warden is a dream job.
It's far too simplistic to think that characters are either good or bad. Nothing is black and white. And this series depicts that very well. All the characters are nuanced, all the characters have their dark side and their good side. And that's even more edifying in a series about the prison world...
Because unfortunately, we also act according to our surroundings, our past, what we have experienced, what we have endured and our environment...
