I’m semi confused ngl cause I thought in the Korean version every one already knew she had stuff done to her face. That’s why I was kinda confused why they chose bafairn for this role because she doesn’t give off I had a whole bunch of plastic surgery vibes. Maybe I’m tripping cause it’s been over a year since I watched the original. But I thought the thing was they knew she had surgery but they just speculated that it was just a lil nose job and something like a double eye lid surgery. Still surgery but not a whole facial reconstruction. Now I do rmr that they didn’t expose her real face this fast tho. But as far as her having surgery I’m kinda confused cause I swear it was known already on the Korean show pretty much from the beginning.

That depends if it was romantic feelings and romantic love.

I haven’t watched the show was interested in watching it though but if what you said is true that means this ain’t a bl. You need some type of romance to be a bl. This would just be a drama. Seems like they used the bl tag because it was surronded by two guys and so people could be fooled and they would get more views based on that. The main point of bl’s is the romantic/sexual dynamic between male characters. That’s like watching a series labeled romantic comedy and they never did anything remotely romantic. They were simply just friends from beginning to the end. It could still be a good show but it is not a romantic comedy. Don’t label things stuff they are not because that’s not fair to viewers watching for that very reason.

I’m very excited for the show especially the fact that my babes Baifern is the lead but there is one thing that I’m a bit iffy about. I love baifern as an actress in facts she’s my favorite Thai actress but for some reason I don’t think she fits this role. Like the person on the Korean version was perfect because it was very evident she had surgery which was t apart of the plot the fact that people knew but didn’t know what she looked like before. To me baifarn doesn’t at all have any noticeably enhanced features that screams she had a lot of plastic surgery. I feel like she would have fit better in a remake of maybe true beauty but I still have hope in this so I hope it is very good. But if they call her a plastic monster or talk about the fact that she had so much plastic surgery I don’t know if I’ll be able to believe it as much as I did on the Korean version.

I’d have to disagree with you and the og commenters. I feel like so many people are bashing this amazing drama because instead of looking at the bigger picture you just wanted a romance drama. That was not what this was and not what it’s meant to be. The drama is about her getting through a life changing event and getting her life together as she finds out how destroyed it truly was. Dr.cha never truly gave the doctor the time of day of y’all actually payed attention she was too busy going through all the stuff to worry about romance. Truthfully she didn’t even know if she wanted to stay or leave her husband yet y’all came to the conclusion that oh they should be together. Truthfully it would have been even worse if they got together at the end because being truthful…. What romantic development did they truly have??? Like y’all have to be honest and realize everything about this romance was one sided….. also let’s be realistic as well. Dr. Cha is 47…. She just ended a marriage where her husband had an affair and a secret child. She has raised 2 children for 20 years…. Do you think she wants more children and do you think she needs to be in a relationship atm. She hasn’t lived for herself in 20 years. Now this is not to say that age gap relationships aren’t possible but I feel like what she said made a lot of sense and I don’t think she meant she wanted to be alone her whole life. I feel she knew the things he would want she would not want to give and also she needs time to as I said live for herself. All this is to say this is a great drama and the ending was good on top of that the ending left room for a season 2 which makes it even better. So I’m hoping they do have a season 2.

Firstly I do understand that looks are gonna be talked about. People value looks in this world but the way they have been talking about the actor who plays nikko has been down right rude. On top of that my point is this is a problem people forget that gay people are real people. So when they don’t fit into the stereotypical build of the bl society they are down right rude. It is not to say you can’t have a preference but a lot of these people in the comments if you actually read aren’t mad about the chemistry or the show quality they don’t like nikko. They want him to be swapped out with his friend because of looks. Most of these people wouldn’t be hating this hard if the roles were reversed for nikko and his friend. As far as the top and bottom thing goes I am also gay. I am coming from the stereotypical pov because I know the blueprint of bl and so do you. It’s quite obvious they want to paint nikko as the “bottom”. But beyond that as a gay male the patterns in bl has been very blatant. Actors who are homophobic. Watchers who are homophobic. Homosexuality gets treated like some type of fetish and as soon as someone doesn’t fit the mold they get ridiculed. I’m honestly so over it. This industry and the consumers (not all) have turned homosexuality into this club that only the deemed best looking or not too feminine can be apart of and it’s starting to annoy me. As much as it seems like bl’s are starting to grow and not solely be for the fetishizatoon of women but for gay men the more it seems it’s staying in the same place.

Right I agree with you but honestly it goes back to the base bl and yaoi have engraved this look and act that all gays supposed to look/act like in these shows that when someone breaks the mold they are degraded. I just watched a video of a gay bl actor who dresses a bit feminine you should have seen the comments so homophobic. This industry really isn’t for gay people or supporters it’s for people who like to fetishize what they think a gay relationship should be and that is why you have people like this.

This was rude and very unnecessary and as far as your comment this is the problem with the bl community. Gay people are not just a figment of your imagination. Not every gay person who is supposed to be a bottom has this cute looking face. He’s not even ugly I’m not gonna say he is the cutest male but he is pretty average which is nice. Because the acting isn’t the problem the reason why they are hating so much is because of the main character. It’s honestly starting to annoy me how superficial and rude these people are like someone just down right called him ugly this is why I don’t like watching bl’s sometimes cause people forget that gay people are actual real people when it comes to bl. Not every bottom looks like a cute boy.

Yea I think it’s aimed at the comments saying the male lead doesn’t fit which I agree with him on this. I’m tired of y’all having these delusional expectations of what a “bottom” is supposed to look like. We are litterally regular people not every one who is a deemed to be the bottom has to look like a child or feminine facial structure/ cutesy. Am I the only one who thinks everyone fits their role? I mean give or take the tattoos I can understand but I like him as the lead. He gives me a more realistic vibe. No he isn’t as facial cutesy as the best friend but I think that’s why I like him even more. He doesn’t fit into the necessary average small bottom boy vibe. He seems like an average a bit feminine boy. I feel like it helps to look at more of his personality than the fact that oh look he’s such a cute boy so he’s perfect for the male lead. I don’t know maybe that’s just me.

So these comments kinda have annoyed me to the core. I don’t get how people can be so homophobic watching a gay show. This is exactly why I have been kinda over bls in general. You don’t care about gay people you fetishize them. There is no reason every time there is a person who is a bit more hyper feminine it’s a problem. I agree but I wouldn’t mind if they didn’t get together and simply just became friend and the ML own up to his behaviors cause he is simply very underhanded and even though he does little things that might be nice it doesn’t outweigh the things he makes her go through.

Everyone keeps saying how much they dislike the FL and feel as if she is worst than the ML and the ML shouldn’t be classified as a bad guy but for me I don’t think that is true. Although the FL can be a bit annoying with her actions and isn’t always the nicest or makes the best decisions I still feel she has a bit of justification. The ML litterally broke her camera than when she tried to explain to him what happened he still was blatantly rude to her. Although she didn’t have to throw the shoe she was drunk and he kinda deserved it but that wasn’t enough for him. He goes on to telling her job that if they have any relations to her he wouldn’t work with them so she got fired. Then when he finds out he says I didn’t mean they had to fire her. Come on now you are the biggest kpop star and you said that about this “nobody” and you really didn’t think she was gonna get fired...??? But even if that’s the fact if he really was this good guy he would have called and told them not to fire her. Now she is jobless and he doesn’t care that she has no money and could be living on the streets. When she tries to expose him for his true nature he once again manipulates the situation making her look like the bad guy. Now not only is she fired she has a bad name for herself in the reporting industry so it’s very doubtful if she will get a job and on top of that his crazy fans continue to harass her but he doesn’t care because he still hasn’t set the record straight or tried to help. He finally did something nice for her by letting her live in his house which she should have said thank you for but he is the reason why she has to live in the house in the first place..... on top of that she is doing this show with him and he does things behind the back of his workers to belittle her and blatantly be rude towards her. On top of that he knows the show will make him look good and make her look like a bad guy in the end and he makes sure to keep that image by doing stuff like fixing the washer for her or “saving her from drowning” when she wasn’t even drowning. He basically is setting out to humiliate the FL. So no I don’t like everything the FL does but do I think she is worst than the ML not at all. The ML is basically a big narcissist even if he had his own issues he still shouldn’t treat people like that and rely on belittling people to make himself look good.
