You’re nothing but a troll towards PSH. You utter the same crap wherever you comment. Crying is not a sign of…
I grew up in a country where our biggest stars are women. As my husband says, it's kind of an anomaly. So I don't feel any affinity towards male stars, Hollywood or otherwise. Definitely, Korea has outstanding female programmers or any other profession. But their entertainment public still worship boy bands or drool at top male actors. I watch MOA mainly for PSH. Her character deserves equal screen time. But the writer says otherwise. I just look at the bright side of this project. Who knows Hee Joo may grab a bit of the action in the second act. As for the romance, it's an element. Jin-woo is a grey character but as the younger sister says, he knows how to use his charm.
I guess PSH would have her share of detractors or trolls, criticising her acting skills or for merely existing. It's their loss for fostering negativity.

There is one major problem with this drama, which I am surprised to see that no one has mentioned about it here…

Crying is not a sign of weakness. IRL we cry for various emotions. It’s hard to cry on cue, on camera. It’s a skill for an actor. PSH was even rusty in the first episode’s cliffhanger. There weren’t any tears. Then, of course, it flowed. Wrong attack on the character? Only trolls would say that, yes, her fans would give you flak and stoop to your level. Why not, you’ve been writing paragraphs dissing her. I can’t say for years because I’ve only known about PSH in 2018. Who is your bias, anyway?

Korea is a male-centric society. Their biggest box office draws are fronted by male actors. The highest paid stars are also of the male gender. MOA’s storyline is about gaming and most gamers are male. Women in this drama may be plot devices but isn’t that a reflection of this drama’s country of origin? PSH could kick ass, no doubt, she wasn’t a crying damsel in distress in Doctors.

It irks that her screen time is less and she is dissed by people like you. But she got to shoot in Granada, Budapest and Slovenia. And learn Spanish and spew her lines with an admirable command of the accent. Playing a musical instrument is a fine talent as well.

MOA is also shown on Netflix in real time, not on a niche platform. That’s huge. She is maybe second-lead. But a love interest with a less stellar name would not attract viewers.

Plus, the OTP have chemistry. You could actually feel their emotions. I’m not a “yuck, I don’t need romance, let’s fast forward kind of viewer.” It’s one of the elements of the show or maybe the main element.
