This is where it built mad respect in my heart for Mo Ran's character. Before this I understood him, accepted him, fell in love with him as MR 2.0, felt devastated watching him in pain but this scene made me view him at the same level of CWN... 💜

Exactly! I started 'The longest promise' for XZ too. But it feels like XZ-RM are indeed only shizun and disciple or sibling at the most. Their 1st encounter as children had at least some feel to it... I don't know how it'll turn out in future tho as I'm at ep 9 only...
