So I have watched my demon and they started dating in ep 9 while here they started dating in ep 11. I don't see…
I, personally, didn't enjoy how the personalities of both MCs changed after they started dating. I get it, acting cute and goofy with your SO when you finally get together is fine, but in this case it was a bit exaggerated. (they are both 34 yo....) That's exactly what I meant when I said that the same thing happened in My Demon, because it did and I simply didn't enjoy it 🤷‍♀️

Also the overly dramatic love confessions... I honestly don't mind, but if you cram like 3+ of these kind of confessions into a few episodes in a row, it starts to feel forced.

I enjoy my romcom and in this one the childhood friend won! Woohoo! I was a bit disappointed because of the reasons listed above. Still 8/10 recommended!

Again this is just my opinion. I'm not trying to convince anyone that I'm right. It is completely fine if you liked it! 😉 My taste is simply a bit different I guess 😅

Cheers!

Overall I liked it, but the last 3 or so episodes were difficult to go through. It almost felt like there wasn't enough material to make it a 16 episode series, so these "filler" episodes were made. All those fights, low level humor and the main couple acting like kids... It was just annoying to watch in my opinion.

Somehow it is always the case. Everything is fine until the main couple actually becomes a couple and all of a sudden they are starting to act immaturely and the romance is exaggerated. The same thing happened in My Demon. Why?

Not the worst, but could be better.

Watched it after hearing about the story on Rotten Mango podcast. Truly insane that stuff like this happens in this day and age. Adults failed her. Justice system failed her. Korea, what the f are you doing protecting the perpetrators? I have no words. Recently people started leaking personal information of all these monsters. Hope your lives will be as miserable as hers after that.

Was it bad? No. Was it good? Also, no. It's one of those movies that, if you'd never watch it, you wouldn't miss anything. The plot was weird. Just the fact that they were both identical... Acting wasn't great, but it wasn't terrible either. Overall, the movie was mediocre at best, in all aspects except the ending. Ah, yes, the ending. What the f was that?!

If you have 2h to spare and you're really curious - watch it, but I can assure you that you could spend that time better with a different title.

Cheers!

Hmm... I have some conflicting feelings about this series. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. The story was incredibly exaggerated to the point that it was difficult to watch and yet, I was curious of how will this story end. MFL... annoying. Her actions are so random and reckless that it's impossible to root for her. I'll probably watch the second season, if it ever comes out, but it definitely won't be on the top of my "To watch" list.

Overall it was a solid meh. Watch it if you want, just don't expect too much.

A classic example of a good story ruined by bad writing.

I don't even know where to start. The story was ok. I know it's fiction, but sometimes it felt unbelievable even for a drama and I think that the culprit here is the aforementioned bad writing. The way they wrote it was so cliche. Like when the mystery unfolds and the actors are clarifying what is happening on the screen... You already had good shots that explained what just happened. Why do you need this unnecessary dialogue? It happened so often throughout the series, and it annoyed me every time. It made the characters feel artificial and broke any immersion the series managed to build till that moment.

The killer's theme had so much potential. Quite an interesting idea, but again, lost in the puddle of bad writing and don't even get me started about the ending. Someone really sat there, read the script and was like - "Yeah, that's the ending I was looking for". Please...

Ok, I'll end it here because I don't want to be too critical. The actors did a good job and they all fitted their roles well, so that's good, but if you want to watch something with and equally or even more implausible story, but with way better writing, go watch Extracurricular. I don't know why am I comparing this series to Extracurricular, it just popped into my head immediately when I started writing this comment.

It is a 6 from me. If you have some time to waste and really nothing to watch, then yeah, sure, go for it, but if you don't, then spend some more time looking.

Cheers!

Medical professionals make the worst patients. Having the textbook knowledge and experience in mental health can…
Well, to be precise, she only denied her mental illness because she didn't remember her suicide attempt. They used a medical term for this, but unfortunately, I forgot what it was. Something with denial in it. She then spoke with her doctor and when she got the full recollection of what happened, she acknowledged it and started working on it.

As someone else already said - "Doctors make the worst patients".

I agree with your previous comment about some patients being magically cured of their illness, but I think it was shown to sort of warm the perception of the viewers on those people. To show them that you can get better. Time constraints of 12 episodes wouldn't allow to show the whole process. There was also one fatal case, so they showed the bitter side of what mental illness can lead up to.

I would still recommend you to finish it. It carries a very important, especially in this day and age, message. If you look past the small things, it is a really good series 😉

Sorry for the essay haha
Cheers!

I'm disappointed. I did and didn't like this series at the same time. Was it the writing? I mean, the pacing was all over the place. You could say that it's just an artistic interpretation of the script, but in my opinion it went a little bit too far. We are at home, wow, oops, nope we are running now. And its snowing in this scene, but hey wow haha it's actually pretty warm the next day. Here's the kicker tho , it's cold as shit again tomorrow. And the story doesn't represent the time flow. The characters were acting... weird. Was it the acting? Or lack there of actually. I expected way more from Suzy, and I'm not hating on her since I'm sure she was instructed to act the way she did, but heck... No happiness, no sadness, no anger. All her face expressions were the same throughout the whole 9 episodes... well, ok, 8 episodes. Episode 9 was a bit better when it comes to this. Same for ML. The story was cliché to the point that I felt like I was watching one of those live action adaptations of some shoujo manga. Mediocre at best.

IDK. I feel like I wasted time watching it. Ending could've saved it, but, well... You'll see/saw for yourself, I guess.

If you want to watch it - go ahead! Just don't expect an 8/10 series as the overall score suggests it is.

NOTICE:
This is my opinion and my opinion only. You don't have to agree with me and what's more important, I didn't come here to argue with anyone.

Cheers!

Dropped it... I'm not sure how did I manage to watch 11 episodes. The story is really bad. She really waited for him for 10 years? He dissapeard. No message No phone call. Nothing. Yes, I know he died, but she doesn't know that. Yet she's still there, waiting... 10 YEARS! Omg... I could go on about the bad story, but I feel like this and bad acting was the most annoying. Don't get me wrong, the cast is great, but I feel like they got weird instructions from the direstor on how to act, 'cuz the leads have the same face expression, literally, in every scene.

A prime example of a "wasted cast title" 🤷‍♂️

TL;DR Don't watch it.

I liked it a lot! The last scene was beautiful, I loved it so much. Great drama that shows you, that not everything in life has to go your way. You will have to make sacrifices to make some things work and some other things won't work no matter what. Watch it! You won't regret it.

I feel like the writers made bets on how many annoying characters can they fit in one show. They went out of their way to make them as bothersome as possible. Even tho I would often get frustrated and sometimes even angry with some decisions made by the characters I was curious about the end of this story. Acting was mid as well... Except Shin Dong Mi, she did well. Overall, If you have some time and really nothing to watch, then go ahead and watch it. If not, don't bother.

I feel exactly the same. I wasn't rooting for the final couple from the beginning. Kinda felt forced tbh, but…
Exactly! Not everyone has rich parents and gets a house in Seoul as a present. He was struggling big time and they did him dirty like that. It is what it is, I guess🤷‍♀️
