yeah I don’t see ANY romance at all here. even the marriage thing I believe is just her childish notion that a marriage is, in her own words, a “contract of happiness”, it was like taking their promises to the next step. At least this is how I saw it. he was intrigued by her first bc he thought she was like him, which he hated, and then bc she actually could do what he wasn’t brave enough to. we even got the explanations for why he’d said he liked her initially tho he didn’t, and why he told her they should get married, just part of the plan to both achieve their own goals - she wanted happiness, he wanted to finally have the courage to die. the plan was never to be in a relationship at all 🤢
so she gets zero consequences and even ends up with a nice guy? lmao the cops would’ve been called when she pulled that stunt in the kitchen and assaulted people

I get what you mean. I didn’t mean the ML caused it directly, just that it’s the basic “everything has been fine the whole time but now suddenly they must have problems and break up bc alas, plot reasons”. The guy isn’t perfect but I don’t agree it’s about not being the center of attention, that’s a bit unfair. She definitely didn’t give him enough reassurance and he started to feel unhappy in the relationship, I’ve been him. Just bc you’re busy it doesn’t mean the other person has to be okay with you treating them as invisible/not the priority over and over. Rejected the proposal bc of work when she could’ve just accepted and discussed they can get married once things calm down career wise, which would’ve made him feel less bad. On their 4th anniversary she left him abandoned in the theatre or wtv it was before it even started to go to a meeting that her business partner could’ve just gone to on his own instead. Even when he said let’s break up, she was being pulled elsewhere and didn’t stay to try and talk about it/try to prevent the breakup. Then called him and instead of talking about their relationship and trying to fix it, she opens up with talking about the damn company and herself AGAIN. like ma’am??? Everyrhing was alwaaaays about her, he has a life and his own problems too, but there’s no room for him - not even for allowing him to help (rejects his financial help but then is fine asking a friend for money).
He absolutely failed to communicate his concerns before it escalated tho, and should’ve expressed all this instead of letting it grow while pretending all was good. I haven’t watched the whole thing yet tho, I’m on ep 9 when the break up happens. let’s be real if this was the ML of the show they’d just push through and work on the relationship instead, even if they broke up they’d get back together anyways 😅bc then how did they even survive 4 yrs if this is what does it lol I’m sure in the next 30 ep the FL and ML will have bigger problems than this and just work through it haha It would’ve made more sense if they had some background of incompatibility or past issues already imo
