Hong rejecting doctor was all good but I was also thinking about where the two mcs will end up together. Although…
100% about him being the one who moves over to Korea, he seems to adapt better, except I guess for the language barrier which could be worked through, and also it seemed like he’s working for her dad’s publisher? idk why they had to with them going back to the place where it canonically went terribly bc she can’t adapt/be far from her own culture and circle 🥴
First, I was really looking forward to this drama as I like both leads. I've liked Lee Se Young since Korean Odyssey.…
your last sentence is so real, I thought it was really funny that she did all that bc she felt lonely over a guy who worked normally, and then decided to go for a DOCTOR, you know, the profession known for a lot of free time and flexible work schedules 😂😂😂 she didn’t feel lonely bc she didn’t like him lmao
this is very focused on the ML’s inability to communicate (which she already knew, he always said he was better at communicating through writing rather than speaking out loud), and there were a lot of frustrating moments from him, let’s be real. He had me wanting to rip my hair out like SPEAK. but it’s so one sided I felt.
once I got myself out of that perspective and tried to see both sides, I realized damn this girl had like no damn life???
She got lucky that she met this guy right as she got to Japan, but what would she do otherwise? she made literally no effort to not be lonely, I’m sorry. Instead, she was super codependent and focused too much on her loneliness and the negatives, instead of realizing this man isn’t home 24/7 because he’s WORKING to afford his education, and in a relationship the other person is a priority but there are other important things in life too, which she’d realise if she had one!!! sis just ran, worked her lil part time and came home to wait for this man like a puppy with separation anxiety.
Then she’s accepted to the school, a perfect opportunity to become more independent and meet new people? and just doesn’t? She had no introspection at all nor made an effort to make her life better overall. I wasn’t expecting her mother’s comment at the start about her starting and dropping things quickly to be true.
miscommunication was the main issue here as it usually is, but definitely not the only problem, nor was it just his own issue. I’m glad she seemed to understand this by the end (though literally just because HE tried so hard to make it work with her), maybe they can work it out now. I wanted to see more of them trying to work things out again tbh, rather than so much focus on what was wrong in the past. This show was so frustrating but I did enjoy it. it’s way too long though I thought, I did have to push through some parts towards the second half.
Never hated a character more :) I'm now shoving all her scenes into 3x speed just to get thru them.
same, which just further proves that her character could’ve easily been replaced 😅 As I watched I kept wishing her role was an older paternal figure for comic relief and guidance instead
She saw visions of him being treated like s*it after seeing him destroy her sect and kill thousands of innocents…
At first I get it, but not after consistently hearing the abuse he was under from that girl, continuing to roleplay it as well and knowing this is not the same person at this point. I get what you’re saying but this doesn’t seem like it’ll have a satisfying progression to make up for it either so I’d rather drop
she saw visions of him being treated like shit into becoming evil and decided…. to also treat him like shit lol reading the comments I think it’s best I stop it at the 2nd episode, that’s enough being annoyed for me
