Well folks, we're almost at the end. This will be the deciding factor whether I keep it 10 stars or not lol I really hope they don't time skip all the way to 2004 like it may seem from some of the promos. A year at most, but they may do more. That's my main pet peeve of kdramas, time skips at the end of almost every show I've ever watched. It's a cliché at this point.
Alright I'm seeing Roy Kim's "Moments" which is the train song, will be the final soundtrack release.
What are these other songs they keep playing? Are they actual songs that aren't soundtracks? lol I can't figure out what any of them are and it's driving me bonkers.
Heck yes. I despise when lovers of the second season come at you and assume you're hating on the new actress.…
Exactly! That was just too much and creepy.
And Yul and Naksus goodbye was handled so well, especially the group of guys at the end having a small round about conversation about who got the girl or not when they were all sitting together having drinks. He accepted defeat, felt disrespectful to beat him over the head again with something he'd longed for for so long, but knew he couldn't have.
Season 2 feels like a whole different show and watching different characters than what they originally were.
Jaein (FL) > likes Bi-oh and wanted to marry Bi-oh but then she discovered Jeongyo through Bi-oh and ended…
That's kind of what I thought. There's barely any details for 1, and 2, not every same sex friendship has to end up a bl or gl. There's nothing saying it is. Until we know further details, all these comments aren't making any sense.
Jaein (FL) > likes Bi-oh and wanted to marry Bi-oh but then she discovered Jeongyo through Bi-oh and ended…
But is that like, in an article somewhere describing the plot? From reading the synopsis there's absolutely nothing about it being a bl. My interpretation was the two guys were going to start off as friends and become rivals, not for romantic reasons. If it was, this would be listed as a lgbtq show in the genres and tags, right?
Again, that's why I'm confused where people are getting this narrative from other than personal interpretations and not what the maker said, but it's so new and upcoming there's not much info on it.
I suppose they want to go out with a bang at the end. I've never watched an ongoing drama with more soundtracks than weeks there is to it, so I don't know how it works lol
Ahh, I think I know which one you're talking about. It's weird how there's multiple soundtracks yet to be released, but they didn't release one for this week. Been waiting on tons of songs for so long lol
I LOVEEEEEEEEDDD S1, but hated s2💔 and no i didnt “not understand the plot” or “hate go youn jung”…
Heck yes. I despise when lovers of the second season come at you and assume you're hating on the new actress. The literal story, hence amensia plot, was garbage and Cliché. Everything about that season was typical kdrama clichés and Lee Jae-wook and her have no chemistry, plain and simple. Jang-uk was also a huge jerk to her before he realized who she actually was. Turned into the cliché cold male lead when he wasn't before and I don't think even if he did lose Mudeok, he'd be that rude to another Woman. He knew the risks beforehand. Yul became a huge jerk too lol oh where oh where did we go wrong.
Alchemy of Souls is actually one of those high ranking shows that I never finished. I watched maybe one episode…
Ohh I see! I showed it to someone and they didn't enjoy it as much as I did, so that's totally understandable. Case and point how ratings should be judged from person to person. Shouldn't be scared off by low numbers, nor expecting a 10/10 drama out of high numbers. Some dramas just aren't geared towards certain people, doesn't mean they're bad, I just hate how people will actually star rate the drama after not liking something from the first episode and dropping it because they weren't the target audience lol
It's sad to see something like this be so low scoring (for the sites usual numbers, 8.0 isn't ideal and if I see this number, I'll usually skip on the drama), or people not really enjoying it much because it's repetitive. The people who don't like it are sticking around when they could just hop to the next show instead, and the people who love it are getting drown out by the negative comments. If you're used to shows like Misaeng, this would be right up your alley. Problems occur very very often in that because that's the way business and life is.
Disappointed that it feels like myself and a very select few can overlook some flaws like every drama has and just enjoy something for what it is. Not everything is going to be on Alchemy of Souls level or something. People have become too nitpicky.
Typhoon Family is very well done even so. I wanted to show this to someone else after it's done airing because I'm loving it so much, but maybe I'll just keep it as my own personal favorite. This is a lesson to never trust ratings nor what people say.
There's a lot of high rated shows with through the roof numbers that I've never been able to finish an episode of.
I don't care about ratings in the grand scheme of things, but if I'm about to start a drama I weigh the pros and cons, everywhere is making it seem this is an unwatchable piece of garbage when that's far from the truth. I suppose if anyone sees this and you're wondering if it's worth it, try it out for yourself and forget about the rating and comments. To me, they're total lies.
The cliffhan is killing me.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what it actually becomes.
There's barely any plot details anywhere so far and there's a female lead. Is this just all based upon assumptions, or...?
I'm contemplating watching this but I'm unsure. I don't like it when they put kids in scary settings and doing things that are unsafe!
