Oh my, that's kind of odd this movie would have 7.9. I know there's not that many votes in comparison to alot of other movies on here so maybe that's why, but I've never actually enjoyed any of Bong Joon ho's movies and found them to be not the greatest/overrated, but I actually did like this one. Baffled to see the rating honestly. 8.5 for me.
It does have the typical issue with Korean films where once it starts getting intriguing it just ends, but I at least was intrigued all the way to the end.
Also I'm not sure if it's translated correctly or not but I could've sworn they were using the word "babo" meaning idiot and not the r word. Maybe it's the same equivalent to them as saying that but, just found that translation off or something.
It's understandable why some may not like it, it does have some flaws such as the main character kind of disappearing after the halfway mark, but this is absolutely hilarious in my book and the dark comedy had me howling with laughter. 7.8 makes it look like it's not worth watching but that's not the case at all. A good 8.2 is what I'd give it. I found it really enjoyable, even if it did veer off into a different place halfway through, there's only 8 episodes so go for it! I don't think anyone would regret watching it since the ending is perfectly fine, not like it's random or bad.
So Lee Gyeong will more than likely be murdered at the end for being the one with those drugs, got it. They have to make sure the audience knows the consequence of drug dealing, doing etc. to the extreme I suppose.
Also, they were putting full pebbles of that stuff in their drinks... 1) how are they not dead 2) why did it only seem to give side effects of being drunk on steroids and that's it?
Even the leading lady when she found it took a big enough taste to do some damage. That would have some serious side effects, could quite possibly get you addicted in one try or kill you in one try. I feel like Korea doesn't quite know just what drugs do to you, which could've been fixed with a simple Google search and some research, especially if you're putting it in a show.
We don't know exactly what drug it is but, drugs are drugs. Especially if they're street drugs like this, they'd most definitely be strong and not weak substances. The technical level of the knowledge of drugs is so off, anyone could tell you that. If you're trying to send a message to people of what not to do, maybe don't show her straight up taking a lick and being perfectly okay after that lol
Yo guys, I'm walking on a thin ice with this drama πThis title here is the most befitting cause, omg, I'm constantly…
Spoiler tags are needed please lol idk why nobody is using them but it'd be nice to not have the scenarios spoiled before I get the chance and free time to watch the next episodes.
Dude fell at the slowest velocity in the world for them to be able to catch him going off the side like that lol
I usually like most soundtracks but, not any of them they've been playing so far. Too bad.
It's okay, but giving a little bit of Goodboy vibes... I'm scared π€£ at least their pilots are the worst of a drama, so let's hope it gets better. Ending was hilarious how she just whips out a bag of drugs.
Y'all... I almost beat myself up over not checking whether it was a k-trauma or not during that last episode. I really thought they were gonna kill multiple main characters off, whew.
I'm glad I was proven wrong. What a ride. That was really good, wish the female cop would've been a little more kinder and helpful quicker instead of 3 quarters of the way through still screaming at them for nothing lol She worked better with them together towards the end and reigned them in when they were being stubborn which was totally fine, just should've happened a little quicker.
Anyone else just a tad annoyed of the show playing the same 2 soundtracks over and over again though? haha
Other than that, fantastic horror with an interesting and engaging storyline!
Make ππ» it ππ» to ππ» episode ππ» 4 ππ»
I know the struggle, but this is a 100/10 after that mark, don't drop it yet before the actual story starts! Keep going! It gets better and better. The first few are slow but it picks up indefinitely. If you don't vibe with it after 6-7 episodes then that's when you can safely drop it and it might just not be your thing. But give it a chance.
Say it with me: Make ππ» it ππ» to ππ» episode ππ» 4 ππ»

I think you're being a bit unreasonable and unhinged about a simple drama and attacking my moral character because it makes you feel superior or something, so there's no point in explaining my point of view.
You're forgetting the flashbacks through Vincenzo, he isn't 100% a cold blooded killer, he's technically an Anti hero in many respects.
Not finished and I know it ends without ending per se, but I've just got to say that I appreciate an intelligent zombie thriller where the characters are smart about what's going on and don't make stupid decision after stupid decision. The writer did well with these characters and had the audience rooting for them all the way. I'm sad there's no more since it's quite literally a one in a million where it's self aware and practical! ππ»
Hm, after finishing it I don't think it needs a season 3 oddly enough. It should've ended about 25 minutes into the last episode and I would've been totally satisfied with that. Sometimes kdramas don't know when to stop the ending of their shows and drag on like this did. It's still good though! Enjoyed most of it other than the Queen.

Vincenzo is a morally gray character and it's a beloved show for it's uniqueness... That's what I meant by that, I think you missed my point. It's a great show because it goes outside of the mold of a perfect main character.
Anyway, Korea holds drug users as if they murdered 100 people, so I'm sure this will have some kind of message that what they're doing is bad.
And just because I'd enjoy seeing morally gray storytelling to make the audience think for themselves does not mean I'm a drug user or seller.... The personal attack is so unwarranted lol
Ah, I am not sure... This is like -ok let's make money on this, regardless of the fact that we will DESTROY people…
Well there's dramas like Vincenzo and it's widely loved. It only matters if it's entertaining in my opinion. The plot seems adult enough that the viewer already knows right from wrong and just wants to see an interesting plot where the characters are morally gray and not the typical "hero" to raise questions. Not everything needs or is going to have a correct moral to it.
Honestly though with how preachy 90% of Kdramas end up becoming (Looking at you Blind), it'll probably have somewhere in it a morally good character to preach at the audience anyway π₯²

those games were top notch and hardcore.

You won't be able to stop after that.
Nothing could ever beat this show for how much fun and pure entertainment it is.
