I like your interpretation of Captain! I hadn't thought about him manipulating Keen by telling him he liked him in order to get him to be in a compromising position (in the shower, evidently).
I would have said Keen was a means to the end to get on the rugby team, or something about the team. We learned Captain's father is some big rugby player in Taiwan, right?

On the other hand, if this isn't a "world of BL" (don't know if you've seen The Man Who Defied the World of BL), I "get" why Captain would stay in the closet because of his rugby teammates' reactions, as he explains to Keen (though was he lying during part of that conversation?). In the milieu of team sports, being gay is pretty problematic.
Maybe we'd have to define how we each understand and mean "innocent" where Mew is concerned! I think one of the interesting aspects of OF was how divisive most of the characters were! Some loved Boston, some hated him; some loved SandRay, others thought they were problematic, etc.

Oh, definitely plenty of questionable aspects of BLs, some of which I can kind of ignore but others that are just uncomfortable. Of course it's my choice to keep watching or not, right?
Hee, I agree that Aob doesn't want to "lose" to his mentee, and I hope we'll find out about whatever his past trauma/baggage is, whatever was making him cry in the previous ep.
They are doing with Zouey what I felt they did with Mew in Only Friends: they could have had a very realistic, interesting storyline about an inexperienced young man learning about his sexuality with his boyfriend, but they went sideways with that.

I kind of agree about the Soong/First scene but those two (and some other pairings) have had NC scenes that made ZERO sense to me so I kind of assumed this was yet another one, but for sure if it lost some time because of edits, that's not helping.
True, I didn't think of it as Keen outing Captain, more like dragging him into his own outing. But you're right, Keen is one of the most decent characters on the show so I hope he doesn't turn bad and start getting "revenge" blah blah blah.
I don't find a lot of time to watch series so haven't been able to get to as many as I could or would have, but something I have sometimes found in series from other countries are other questionable/problematic aspects that I don't find in Thai BL, like 17-year-olds with adults, that kind of thing. But certainly not across the board!

I think I was neutral on Aob *until* he and Puen got together and then I thought, How did I miss this guy before now? For me they have the best chemistry (among pairings that really don't have a lot of chemistry compared to other BL pairings, of course) and the best "fit" as characters. Plus there's the whole back and forth of their relationship. Anyway, I'm very interested to see where they go with them but am fully expecting to be let down. 😉

(Just like we need to speculate about wtf First did to Soong to leave him in pain.) // Definitely, and there's way too much speculating in this series, which means, like you said, the writing and editing are lacking. On the other hand, with Soong and First I suppose they wouldn't be able to *show* what's so painful...though honestly I just think it was badly done.

Now that you've described the acting in series from other countries, I see what you mean and agree, though I've seen relatively few series compared to most fans. I get the sense that the actors in the Thai series are "found" by doing like group competitions or something whereas maybe in other countries they are more organic, I don't know. One of my fave JBLs is Old Fashion Cupcake and I do think the acting was stellar.

Another good question! If I understood correctly, Prom gave him the gun because Nont was going to confront Nuth...so, for protection? For exactly what he used it for, to threaten Nuth? Definitely not a good idea from Prom but if the gun was loaded and he was pointing it at the guy he's supposedly into (or anyone else!), that's also a spectacularly bad idea.

Good question! I don't think we do know, at least I certainly don't. Keen should have kissed his ass to the curb when he witnessed the lying but for some reason only got "revenge" by making Captain (and the rest of the team!) run a lot. So yeah, the secret filming (though, come on, the camera was super obvious) was out of nowhere.

I'll have to take your word for it about the acting because so far I haven't seen much great acting in BLs period, and then the few who can really act, in my opinion, are few and far between. The bad writing and directing surely isn't helping, and now if they are editing out things and screwing around with scenes, it could get worse.

Was Porsche crying over stuff we saw or stuff that was cut? // If I recall correctly, the crying was after he returned to the room, found Jump gone, and then checked his phone to see the messages from his "dad." Not sure if he was crying because Jump was gone or because of the whole sugar daddy thing or both.
Did Nuth actually WITNESS Nant hang himself? // IKR??!!! We see that split second of feet dangling and the fallen chair so my guess is yes? But if so, why would he believe that Nant could be alive? Did he run away and not see Nant fall to the floor and not die?
Do you really want me to think Porsche is actually down bad for Jump? really? I can buy Soong being that down bad for First but Porsche for Jump? what? // YES! Def not buying that, come on.
What is captain even getting revenge for? just the training thing? Maybe he’s that petty so it tracks but it also doesn’t. // Right?? I mean, Captain already threw Keen under the bus by lying about how Keen is around guys, which Keen for some reason forgave him for, AND Keen explained that he was making him train hard to earn his place as starter instead of just getting it through sex, so what is the payback for??
