Great series in general! I was a bit bothered by Futaba, but oh well...Amazing fight scenes, good backstories,…
What was wrong with Futaba? I really liked her. She added an additional interesting dynamic.

This samurai series deserves a higher rating. the story is not only about a game of life and death but more than…
Simply the best action show I've watched this year. I know that MDL viewers tend to grossly undervalue Japanese shows, but an 8.2 rating is patently ridiculous. But what more can you expect from a site where any half-assed completely unoriginal Chinese wuxia with ridiculous fake looking martial arts fight scenes and cheesy dialogue gets much higher votes than an action work of art like this one?

I hope this comes to a theatre near me. It's getting excellent reviews from both critics and audiences.

It would a different story if all 3 were competing on Netflix.
Disney+ does show me the Top 10 in my country and they also show the new releases, all pretty much the same way Neflix does. It's true that the Disney+ Top 10 is full of kids shows and movies because they are more watched than the more serious Hulu fare ( including most k-dramas). The other main difference is that Netflix also regularly sends me emails promiting upcoming shows, which Disney+/Hulu rarerly do.

I live in California, and we can't watch kdramas here either.
I agree that one problem with many c-dramas is too much filler. And Li Xian is probably my favorite Chinese actor. I haven't yet seen Go Go Squid (its on my list), but those other 3 shows are among those exceptions I mentioned (c-dramas that fully deserve their ratings on MDL). Other c-dramas that fall into that category for me include Reset, The Long Ballad, Go Ahead, The First Frost, and Twelve Letters.

I think MDL has gotten better about promoting C-dramas, which in my opinion are often actually somewhat overrated on this site. They still pay very little attention to J-Dramas, which are extemely underrated on this site. Based strictly on my own personal tastes, I find that I often prefer a J-Drama rated 8.0 here to most C-Dramas rated 8.5 or above. Though there are exceptions of course (of which Hidden Love is one).

Disney+ is quite expensive without ads, but its worth it to me because I get it in a package with Hulu and all the ESPN channels. I actually almost never watch anything on Disney+ itself (I think the last show was Andor), but I'm regularly watching kdramas on Hulu and sports on ESPN - probably as many or more hours weekly than I watch on Netflix.

K-dramas are also very popular in much of Latin America (as are Japanese dramas to slightly lesser extent). Its rare that there isn't at least one kdrama or jdrama on Netflix's Top 10 in many countries. They also heavily promote them to their subscribers in the region. I think this is one of the reasons Disney has gotten much better over the past year or so about making its kdramas available in Latin America.

Here's an interesting stat for you all about DISNEY+, and why every Kdrama fan should boycott them! There are 195…
Are Disney+ k-dramas avaialble on Disney+ anywhere? In the U.S. they have long been streamed on Hulu. In Latin America, they used to be on Star+, which has now been replaced also by Hulu. For me this is a huge improvement because Hulu tends to show all the kdramas Disney has the rights to. So far this year Hulu has been showing all the Disney + shows with at worst, a one week delay. In the past, Star+ often showed kdramas with a delay of several months, when they bothered showing them at all.

Most kdramas to which Disney+ has the international rights are available on Hulu in the U.S.. Up until recently they were available on StarPlus in Latin America, but now Disney has discontinued StarPlus and replaced it with Hulu in that region as well. Hulu is available as on most Disney+ packages in both the U.S. and Latin America.

Any man who rapes, abuses his wife or kids or anyone should be murdered. That would be justice but we have a man…
I wouldn't go that far. I'm usually against vigilante justice. Of course it helps that I live in a country where in recent years they have made it much easier to put abusers in jail. But this show paints the worst possible scenario where its clear that either he dies or his wife dies (particularly after her attempts to go to the authorities are blocked by the husband's detective sister and the husband's response to being confronted by her friend was to beat both of them up). In no way does the wife deserve to die, but its also appropriate that she did her time in prison.

Offer comfort in murder - I cant with women these days anymore
Since most abusers get away with it without any repercussions, it can be understandable cathartic for someone who has been abused to see one get what´s coming to him. And within the context of this show, the guy more than deserved to be murdered. Not only am I a guy saying this, but I think any men who don't understand this are part of the problem in the first place.

I’m genuinely confused. This drama definitely has one of the best chemistry and visuals between the main couple,…
I very much agree that this drama was plot deficient. Where I disagree is that I thought the acting by the ML was also very wooden and flat for much of the season. Only at the end does he come alive a bit. Otherwise it was the FL who pretty much carried the entire show and is mostly responsible for their good chemistry (this is the 3rd show I've seen her in and I've come to the conclusion that she's one of those actresses who can create chemistry with almost anybody). Overall, an 8.6 rating seems extremely high.

Lusi's dramas get downrated by other fandoms. But some didn't like the comedy. I wish people would look deep into…
Or it could be because some of us feel that the show started dragging a bit in the second half of the season. I've liked most of Lusi's dramas and was enjoying this one for the first 15 episodes or so, but really had to struggle to get through to the end.

If you think the beginning is a bit boring, you might as well quit right now. It really begins to drag in the second half of the season, only finally picking up again in the final episodes. They could easily have cut 5 to 10 episodes from this series.

Personally, I thought this was a very one-dimensional substandard performance from Arthur Chen, though he did improve a little in the later part of the season. But I agree that the FL was very good. She was the most entretaining part of this series.
