Cannot get enough of this!
Love Jung's and Seol's relationship, I already miss them , I got from 1-12 episodes in 2 days, now I'm regretting for going to fast... what am I going to dooo??? T_T
I was looking forward to this.. but as a fan of the manga and the taiwanese drama the japanese adaption is disappointing.…
I'm not a big fan of Taiwanese dramas in general, Barbie, especially gets on my nerves... but Vic was not bad, it's just after the manga, you expect Rei to be SO MUCH MORE than the coolness and gloominess Vic was expressing all through the drama. But, really, Masao was spot on.
Till this day the manga is the best version there is for me, really Korean version doesn't sound so bad to me at all!

Japanese just don't realise what a wonderful manga MARS is, I think, if they only thought of making a drama just now, and if they will have it be 250 minutes long... that is heartbreaking for me as a huge fan of the manga, and Fuyumi Souryo's art in general, her deep characters need so much more time on screen, damn, I would make such an awesome drama out of it, it has EVERYTHING, romance, dark story, suicide, violence, psychology, ghosts, art... damn, it's so rich, why spoil it??? WAE?? NANDE???
I know neither the manga nor the t-drama, so I'm judging based on this drama alone. So far it seems like a standard…
Agreed, the script of the drama was very much like the manga but the feel of it was really different, I never felt I was watching MARS, when I was watching that drama, it was like something totally else... I hope that the Japanese one has more feeling like the manga.
But I am already very doubtful that will be the case with this drama, already I can see that the actor does not give any crazy feeling about Rei and the whole drama feels like a school romance story, and they even changed Masao's character... I'll stick with it and see what they made, but I have little hope they will reproduce the feelings in the drama, it's so deep, and if they really have only 250 minutes for it... they are crazy and don't realise what a gem they are just brushing through...

MARS is one of the best mangas out there, believe me, I have been through a lot...
It's not your cliche shoujo mangas you'd come across these days, first of all it's from 1990s, and I was always surprised when Japanese were just ignoring it going for other mangas, while the Taiwanese went ahead and made a drama (which I don't like), second it has really deep psychology in it, every one of the characters is one with a story, and with a story will get invested in, it's a wonderful story about how people with scars can help other people with scars become happy. And when I say scars, I don't mean first heartbreak, daddy issues, somebody is very rich the other is really poor... blablabla... Kira and Rei, while being really young have gone through so much already, I always adore how they work out through all that. If the Japanese version is more like the manga, it's going to be epic.
And an advice, read the manga, you won't regret it.
Did he found out who she was? Right before he fired her ? I am not sure about it. .but it seems as if he did..but…
He doesn't know yet. The clues are adding up in his head, but it still does not make any sense to him, as he knows somebody else as Hae Jin he knew, that is why he gets so annoyed with her, when she resembles the Hae Jin he remembers from his childhood.
He was apologizing to her and asking her to come back to work, but she refused, that's what was going on by the swings.
She was sporting a new fantastic look when she came back at the end of ep 8!
YAY~ No more stupid red spots on her cheeks, which, by the way, did not, in any way, make her look less beautiful...
Was so pissed at Seong-Jun for behaving like an asshole! Make sense of your feelings and don't chew on other people!
Also, so sick and tired of that stupid girl, who always gives Hae-Jin stupid assignments (though, it's mostly Hae-Jin's fault, for doing them...) TAKE CARE OF YOUR CAR YOURSELF, B**H! ( I think this is the angryest comment, I have ever written on MDL... apologies) :P
Is it just me or is it getting a bit boring? Just watching for the chef now.
It's a spoiler because if someone reads the first comment to which your comment is a reply to, it becomes obvious who the killer is.
"Is it just me or is it getting a bit boring? Just watching for the chef now."
and then...
"Ha, ha, ha ! I thought I was the only one who thinks that this drama tends to be boring and the only reason who still keeps me watching it is 'the handsome killer''.
That's why...
I never wanted to kill someone the way I want to kill Jun Hee.
Seriously, I knew he was bad, but I REALLY had convinced myself he couldn't have killed DongWook... wow... somebody should have seen myself when I was watching that dirty scene... I was about to throw up... he's the lowest filth ever... not only he killed DongWook, he was so shameless he went after SunJeong...

Loving it more than I initially expected!
