To be honest Thai writing is different from Western writing. In many Thai novels late characters are not meant to create new conflict but to represent a theme such as loyalty, karma or redemption. Western storytelling focuses on structure and foreshadowing. Thai storytelling focuses on emotional payoff and karmic closure. Authors from different countries have their own way of telling a story.

Khachen acts as the storyteller and bridge to Pharans past. He shares memories from their student days that show Pharans fair and hardworking nature before the main storys events. These short flashbacks reveal Pharan’s human side and help us to understand him better. And they are bickering all the time wich shows Pharans funny side.

Khachen’s role in the main novel is to finish Pharan’s story both emotionally and in action. He is someone Pharan once helped (childhood friend) and now he returns that kindness. This shows that Pharan’s good side never truly disappeared (In the series its a little different because they made Pharan softer)

Khachen helps them by giving them resources to escape. He also provides money, safe contacts, and important information. He is Pharans connection to the real world. He has a more important role in the special chapters but I don’t know whether they include it or not.

I’m so in love with the storytelling, the details and how everything is connecting slowly. They did their research so well. I’m impressed with Domundi for the first time. Can't wait to see how they will end it. A lot bls tend to mess up the last few episodes.

I was wondering the same. They had great chemistry in their previous series, what happened here? It’s a little hard to watch sometimes. I like the story overall but something seems off
