I really support the theory that everything that is happening is part of the novel he is writing (maybe wrote already), and that he suffers from psychosis perhaps due to PTSD (maybe something happened while he was in the army), and that's why he thinks he is living it, when everything is actually just in his head. As for his girlfriend, maybe she died or something, that's why they haven't seen each other yet, and the texting between them may be from the PTSD. Anyway great drama!
This is totally my type of drama, disturbingly dark and creepy which is right up my alley. The actors are great and the cinematography is brilliant. The last scene of episode 3 was so sinister (Lee Dong Wook is awesome), just fantastic. I love this drama so far, can't wait to see more!
Yes English subs are finally up :D But that first episode though, it was so sad, like blow after blow after blow for Third. Poor baby deserves way better (Gun is fantastic actor, I felt everything Third was feeling)
I am so freaking excited for this, I feel like I've been waiting for years! In the meanwhile, I probably watched the teaser about 59.263 times, this is going to be epic #offgunismyjam #june1stcomesoonerplease
It's funny that the drama is being bashed on Chinese and Taiwanese social networks, but on this website, History 3 keeps climbing up the ranks and is now at #3, with over 1400 comments in the comment section. I actually like this better than History: Boundary Crossing (which was great) because I love the theme and the pacing (It bothered me that the relationship in History 2 seemed to go from 0 to 100 in one episode). 20 episodes allow for a pretty realistic development. Tang Yi and Shao Fei have great chemistry and they are a well-balanced couple, I also enjoy the other two relationships, I like the action scenes, the writing is not bad at all and everything is gradually starting to make sense. I haven't really been disappointed by an episode so far and I am usually pretty critical with my dramas.
Is this regularly subbed? I want to start it but I feel like it's gonna be the usual eternal wait for subs :'(
Adam Uni on Facebook subs the episodes very quickly (in a matter of hours after each episode airs). You can watch the first 14 episodes with English subs already.
Amazing drama! The acting is exceptionally perfect, especially Nam Goong Min, Kim Byung Chul, Choi Won Young and Park Eun Seok. The plot is fast-paced and offers a lot of twists that keep the viewers at the edge of their seat. This series is a breath of fresh air among a lot of "black and white", hero VS villain, manichean type of dramas, the main characters are very complex and flawed which makes this even more exciting, because you find yourself rooting for characters that actually have debatable morals. Even the little side romance is well presented, and it gives comedic relief to a very serious drama. It is one of the very few dramas I have watched where I did not skip once, and only one of seven dramas (among the hundreds I've watched) I gave a 10/10 to. I recommend 10000%
WARNING: I suggest you to not watch this freaking drama until all the episodes are done. trust me.. waiting episodes…
I never ever ever start a drama before it is finished, but just this once I thought "oh well, let's just watch the first episode, just to get a feel of the story"... I regret that deeply, because I got addicted very fast and now it is torture to wait week after week for a new episode. Please people, follow this very sound advice!
This drama is amazing so far, the actors are as brilliant as the characters they play (Nam Goong Min is one of the best actors in Korea IMO), and the plot is enticing. It is a very cleverly written drama, the way, in each episode, they give us only small tidbits of Na Yi Je's thoughtfully planned revenge is keeping us guessing, however thay present us plot twists, power shifts, small revelations that keep the plot going, the rhythm of this drama couldn't be more perfect and it never gets boring. Na Yi Je is like a spider that has been very patiently and carefully weaving his web for years in order to trap all of his victims at once, such an amazing and complex (and dark , which I love) character. All in all, for now it is a 10/10, but I'll wait till the end to give my final rating.
I watched this show for the first time when it went out, I rated it 10/10, it's one of the few dramas I gave this rating to. I just rewatched it all at once for a second time, it was even better than the first time, it's such a well scripted show, it is hilarious, the characters are awesome, the bromance is on fire and the actors are at the top of their game with great chemistry (I absolutely adore Nam Goong Min, he is brilliant, one of my favorite actors and Jun Ho is spectacularly funny, love him). Final rating 11/10, if you are reading this right now, leave this page and go watch it!
Attempted watching this for the 4th time because of all the hype. Damn !! This drama is soooo slow. The FL is…
I tried really really hard to watch this drama until the end because of the rating and the comments, but I couldn't. I was bored the whole time, I ended up dropping it. As much as I like romcom (not my favorite genre, but I have enjoyed plenty of romcom dramas), this one didn't cut it for me.
I was a bit disappointed with season 4, but I like the God's Quiz series overall so I decided to give season 5 a chance. I am super glad I did, it actually is my favorite season out of the five. I tend to skip some moments in almost all the dramas I watch but here I didn't skip once: this series has a great cast with amazing chemistry, great villains, great acting, the plot was enticing and kept me at the edge of my seat. I also really enjoyed seeing a more mature and encouraging Dr. Han, his character showed a real development from the previous seasons. I now hope for a season 6 with the same cast. 9.5/10 for me.
I am not one to cry or laugh out loud watching a drama, but it happened to me for the first time watching Prison Playbook. I don't think I have any tears left to shed, the characters were fleshed out and realistic, and each relationship was absolutely touching. I rated it a 10 (even though I was emotionally destroyed by Looney's ending), and I am delighted to see this drama at the #1 spot! I highly recommend Prison Playbook, do not think twice and watch it, it is a masterpiece.
One of my favorite series to date, very gripping and intense, loved the characters, I thought the acting was great and the music fitted the drama perfectly. 10/10 for me.
As for his girlfriend, maybe she died or something, that's why they haven't seen each other yet, and the texting between them may be from the PTSD.
