In my opinion even if they recorded the conversation and sent it the police, the police would probably think they threatened him so he could take the fall and the guy (the ex-secretary I forgot his name) can also say he was threatened to say what he said in the recording and that he did nothing. And the ex-secretary could've said he was beaten so he could take the fall. Even if they sent the police the guy phone how would the police know Wei didn't fabricate the whole evidence.
