They are just too toxic. I don't even watch that many cdramas and this drama is character driven storyline and the story focuses a new couple every 2-3 episodes and their cp have a good amount of screen time. You will never see this type of madness and toxicity in the rest of the acting world. Even In Hollywood bigger actors play supporting roles to actors that are less popular than them and you won't see their fans whining. For example Robert Downey Jr. Played a supporting role to Cillian Murphy and mind you RDJ is 10x more famous than him and why you ask? Because that's what the plot and the movie needed. Ofc he was paid well. Imagine if his fans started sabotaging the movie but they didn't and the movie ended up becoming a hit. They treat their faves as influencers and want them to be in their faces in the whole drama without care about the plot. But they are actors and acting is collaborative art.

Not really. Ratings matter to the general audience because i will like to see if the drama is good or not because most of the time i don't have time to commit to dramas to see for myself if it is good or not and that's why site like this exists. But how can I even trust the ratings when people are just down ratings for the sake of it. I checked this drama yesterday and it had 8.2 and that's why i give it a chance, if I have checked it today i probably wouldn't have watched it since i only try dramas with 8+ ratings and would have probably missed out. That's what really frustrated me because i just realised i can't trust this site anymore.

He is very talented for sure, his range is incredible. I'm quite picky and wasn't really planning to watch many Chinese dramas this year maybe i will see by Dec if i can commit to another drama.

Either this site is broken or there's another agenda because how can i even trust the ratings in mdl with the amount of people rating it 1. This drama is soo good. The plot is even better, i don't think i have watched a drama with this much plot twist. The cinematography is incredible, the costumes, the CGI, the couples chemistry and mostly the acting. The opening scene for the fake weeding is very well done, i love them. Everyone acting is really good apart from maybe the actor playing lijie but even him he's not too bad it's just that everyone else is eating it up. Even though i like everyone acting the actor that's playing Jiling really impressed me to the point that i forgot both characters are played by the same person.
