Almost at the half way mark and so far it’s okay. There are a few cute moments between the leads, and it’s…
I agree. I'm American so I can spot an accent in the singers. It's ok, the accent isn't bad except sometimes I can't understand what she's singing. But if your native language isn't English, how about singing some songs in your language? Anyone who is here watching Chinese drama probably don't mind listening to some Mandarin! I was hoping for at least one song that was Mandarin. ?♀️
I have a question. I would like to understand a little bit more about the Eastern culture. I do not want to disrespect…
It is definitely a common thing in Eastern society to marry someone of the same or better" class". There isn't a real class but it is unspoken. If a man or woman has attained a certain level (For example level of schooling or occupation or wealth), he or she should marry someone similar. If he or she does not, then they family with the higher status will disprove of the relationship or marriage. There is great pressure to stay within one's social status. It's not always the case but a lot of the times.
Only watched up to episode 4 so far. Don't want to be ticky tacky but why is her wardrobe so bad. Her clothes…
Yeah, that scene was a 'little' unbelievable. But that is the only scene where I felt like that. Thankfully their interactions are much better after that scene. I also agree with her wardrobe. One time she wore a giant oversized button down with a pair of jeans and sneakers... To work! Uh... I don't know what kind of bank that is but here in the US, banks have business as dress code. That is something I choose to overlook because I love the drama so much. Haha
I'm really curious about Yuan Shuai background. I think he is not from a rich family. cause he seems to be desperate…
I love when he was explaining to JJ's dad why he had schoolmates bully her, you'd think he was an angel... Then he ended the conversation by asking for more money. HAHAHA
The second ML looks like he has so much Botox or to much plastic surgery done on his face it’s so unsettling,…
This sounds really mean but one of his eyes don't focus on the same spot as his other eye. It's very distracting. It is not all the time either. It's weird! Other than that, I don't find him offensive or anything.
Why do I find this show hilarious? Especially Yuan Shuai.
I loved their respective expressions when she one-upped him by getting the job at MH despite him stopping her at every turn. Too hilarious! I just LOVE the two of them!!
Ive just started episode 10 but I cant forget the stupidity of the shower scene in episode9. Who goes to use a…
I see what you mean, Zlata7. Leo Luo was a professional dancer prior to becoming an actor. I saw a video of him when he was still dancing. He was very muscular - not thin as he is now. I also noticed he has become progressively thinner as he became more popular (for example, watch him in Fox in the Screen and then compare how he looks in Ashes of Love then to And the Winner is Love). The standard of thinness in China may be very hard to keep. I don't know. My only thought is that he's not starving himself but he's working out a lot. It's also hard to see how muscular someone is when he's got a bunch of clothes on.
I thought it was nitpicking since there's nothing wrong with the man.
