His love was really true because she disappeared for more than a year, and he never stopped looking for her, so when she returns, he realizes that it was her, but he remained silent because for him appearance never mattered. I think that because the drama is based on a shoujo manga, this type of mistaken thinking is passed on to girls as a normal thing, when it shouldn't be. I thought the same thing! I also thought the drama sent the wrong message to girls. FL herself says “no one will like me because I’m fat”. This thinking is already wrong. And FL decides everything herself, when it would be easier for her to ask ML for her opinion on this. Even when ML declares herself, she doesn't accept it and says she was too small for him. I totally agree. Hime should lose weight for herself with her health in mind, and not for the purpose of winning over a boy. It would even be better if she didn't even lose weight. What I liked most about Fujisaki was the sincerity of his feelings. he truly fell in love with Hime's essence without caring about her appearance. later on when he declares himself, he makes this very clear, (although it was already clear from the first episode) but Hime sabotages herself a lot 🤦🏻‍♀️
