yeah he knew that person would get it but to other people like the general’s soldier who opened it to itemize what was sent they would just assume it was leather underwear and not realize it was a message being sent as he was notoriously known for doing joke gifts filled with junk after every war

I think he’s trying to stay lowkey like the way he plays dumb/acts like a fool to avoid suspicion/prevent trouble to those around him as we can see that he’s clever/smart it’s kind of like those princes we see in politics drama that either act like they’re super sickly/just a good for nothing playboy money waster not interested in court politics but actually planning their accession for crown prince/the throne

honestly I almost dropped it a few times as I found some parts dragged on but I’ve continued because of their friendship and relationships. even SQ and husi relationship with MJ hall is cute it’s a “i can mess with them but you can’t” vibe I just wished the cases were more interesting or had a bigger part of the story
