I’m currently on episode 14 and I'm contemplating whether to continue with the series. I initially joined after watching First Frost and was drawn in by the two 10 ratings. However, I find myself feeling a bit disconnected from the story. I’m not quite sensing the chemistry between the main leads, and it seems to me that the other couples have a more dynamic connection. The interactions between the leads feel somewhat subdued, lacking the tension I want to see. While I haven't seen the female lead in other works, we know that BJT is capable of delivering strong performances. Unfortunately, it seems that the writing may not be supporting their talents in this drama.

Episode 13 obviously aired—why isn't Viki putting it up?

I dont understand the the ones who saw “cheating spouses” during those scenes. I saw a husband and wife who were both terrified for the other and willing to do anything they could to protect each other.

Same—it took me forever to get through the first two episodes. By the end of episode 4, I was obsessed.

I agree, I think she has decided to try to protect everyone she loves—including the king.

It is because he was a vampire in Scholar Who Walks the Night with Lee Joon Gi He was the villain and did did a great job. How he doesn’t get more lead roles, I have no idea.

Just watched the final. I feel like they drug out the last two episodes. That wedding was painful. How could he play such mind games with her...at their wedding?? And her parents were not there! That being said, a very solid version of the story...and a much more satisfying ending than BOF. I look forward to seeing what the two leads do in the future.

I wonder why Netflix only has one episode today. They have been doing 6 a week (2 episodes each Wed, Thurs, and Fri). Maybe another schedule change in China?

I watched episodes 7&8 raw, so maybe I will change my mind after watching them again with subs...but I didn’t like episode 8. It was a totally waste of an island getaway episode. Anyone who knows the story knows what is going to happen with Shan Cai and Lei, but there were hardly any scenes of just Shan Cai and Dao Ming Si together—and none of the two of them enjoying the island. In the Korean version (I have seen most of the other versions, but I know the Korean version better) it shows them spending time together so that Shan Cai (Jan Di) could see a different side to Dao Ming Si (Jun Pyo).

Even on KDramas, I am always distracted by everyone wearing their coats all the time in the winter. Do they not use indoor heat in Asian countries the same way we do? I live in CA now, but even the 5 years I lived in North Dakota, we didn’t need to wear coats indoors.

I am pretty sure this was pre-recorded and was probably filmed during the winter. I watched another Chinese drama (Boss and Me) where the lead’s hands were purple all the time. They always wore coats, so after a while I came to the conclusion that it must be so cold there in the winter — that his hands were that color because of how cold it was.

Why did they have to dub it ????. A Love So Beautiful is proof that they don’t have to dub!! Anyway, looking forward to seeing this take on the story.

I so wish I would have done the same! I did do it with the last LSG drama I watched (Heart to Heart). Why is it so freaking hard to write a Korean drama with a satisfying happy ending?
