I haven't read the book but from my understanding the SA is a key point in their relationship and Vegas redeeming himself. I'm not into SA or rape because ofc in the real world who would be aside from an actual rapist? We need to keep in mind that this is a work of fiction and w/ that comes turning that part of your brain off that KNOWS it's wrong and instead learning and understanding why the character went that far and how the person who the character went that far with took it, then understanding where their going w/it and how it's going to be resolved. Majority of the Fandom here (from my understanding); want VegasxPete NOT for the sadistic things but for the way Pete changes him and loves him despite all of that AND the way Vegas redeems himself...The resolution is what people (I think) want to see, and although I haven't read their story but because of spoilers I, myself am excited to see how Pete changes Vegas and makes him human❤
