Call me ignorant, but after watching the episode ,I did not find the depiction egregious compared to other portrayals in the media. Even though Samir checked some of the stereotype boxes, he came off as just a goofy individual rather than a by-the-books Arab royal. They may be making a mountain out of a mole hill for no reason that I can see.
