Sad that its over but glad at the same time if thats even possible. I really think they should have sticked with the original idea of making this a story/mystery heavy drama since I was really looking for a series where the romance is secondary and the plot is driving the series. The series had its weak and strong points. Acting and Chemistry definitely are the strong suits of this series, the plot itself was intruiging at first and Ep. 10 and 11 were really emotionally based which would have been really great if they wouldn´t have ruined it with the movie idea. Whatever that was for.
To be honest, I could really feel Akk as a character and that rarely happens. His struggles were really relatable. Akk is one of my favourite BL characters and I wished they wouldn´t have made it seem like he´s fine all of a sudden when he wanted to disappear like days ago. Every actor was great, Khaotung was good at creating chemistry - as if he was Ayan feeling every emotion Ayan was feeling in those intimate scenes. First really outdid himself in his emotional scenes esp. the scene at the beach and Ep. 10, 11, and 12. When it comes to emotional outbreaks, he´s definitely my favourite actor for that at the moment.

I think the director once said to not jump to conclusions just because the novel is prolonged. I guess thats the only thing confirmed right now: that the novel is gonna have a 2nd season which doesnt necessarily mean that the series is also gonna get one

No youre not the only one. I have said before that it kinda bugs me since you can also feel that some scenes were shot later. But they also had to pause for a month because of Firsts injured hand. Have you seen Until we meet again? Bouns hair colour kept changing throughout the whole show haha.

But I have to admit, First is such a good actor and crier. Like most of the time I feel that its just acting but hes making Akks sorrow feel so real. Akk is such a complex character, hes essentially a good guy, but flawed in regards to his own selfishness. And I totally understand why he did what he did, which doesnt justify his actions. And now that he´s come to the realization of what has happened to him, of what he´s done and what consequences he´s gonna have to face eventually, he doesnt know who he is anymore. And I totally feel this torn and broken mind, his inner turmoil Akks feeling from just looking at his eyes. So hands down for making the character so real and authentic.

I think the writers have had too much to put into the series. They have 2 couples in which each character is given time to be explored, then they have the curse ark which they had to explore, the uncle story, now the teachers...they are just cramming everything in. In my humble opinion, they should have filled the episodes before with more story and less fillers since they literally didnt really show the story moving in those episodes. I do have the feeling that some scenes were added pretty late because they had to pause the filming and then they changed a few things here and there and the story doesnt add up anymore...you can always see when they filmed which scene when looking at Khaotungs hair. Sometimes his hair is long, in other scenes he has already shaved his hair :)

Yes I do understand that, I was just saying that all these things are adding up and that it could easily have been way more enjoyable than it is since the acting and the chemistry are both pretty good but the writing and the editing are making those efforts go in vain most of the time :) They cut at the wrong endings I guess since they could have easily made the last scene shorter or at least more in tune with the other parts haha. But I think the biggest problem here is that they want to show too much with too little time...

Yes that scene. It really bugs me that they put it in the trailer. They must have known its not gonna be in the episode, so why put it in haha

So I am gonna rent a bit: When I first saw the original trailer, The Eclipse was the only BL story that got me hooked. But like everyone here already said, the only thing that keeps the series going is the acting, especially First surprised me a lot, since he hasnt gotten as much exposure before. But I think the series could have easily surpassed Bad Buddy in viewer ratings if the editing and the overall storyline were better. Since the chemistry is just top notch. But a lot of the scenes just feel disconnected and you can really feel that they had to pause filming because of Firsts injury. I mean even the trailer of Episode 11 included a scene which never appeared in this episode at all. And the episodes before could have been easily filled with heavier story as they now have to rush everything. Overall I really like the acting, the music, and the character layouts, as all of them are multidimensional, I find Akk as a character especially intruiging and very well written.

Side note: Since GmmTV 2023 is around the corner, I do hope that both Khaotung and First have decent works where they can show their abilities and get more exposure.
