This version satiates my wangxian thirst.

I left mdl for so long and this drama made me come back to rate this because I truly think it really deserves a 10. For someone who isn't in the mood for BL, I'm quite surprised how it fits my bill with the censored romance and made me crave for more. But i have to commend the people behind this drama for giving this drama a universal hat-- for someone like me who doesn't usually watch BL to appreciate its subtleties, and I'm sure even the BL enthusiast love the h undertones. The story was solid already, but the leads propped the story so much that I smiled so much even though they're just walking together. What an amazing drama!

To be completely honest, both of the characters are Mary Sues. They were perfect heroes. But I'm not sure why I enjoyed this drama so much. Maybe part of it is the natural fusion of Modern and historical world aided by the game. And Yang Yang is beautiful. So you can really believe all the swooning that the other girls are doing over him. The plot isn't so much moved forward. There is not so much story arc and jealousy angles going on. They are just cute and very swoon-worthy.

Everybody seems so annoyed with Qu Xiao Xiao but let's be honest here. She speaks what's in her mind and most of the time, it's all wisdom and practicality. Yes I wanted her to learn from her childishness but when she explains her complex reasoning, there is always some logic into it. Like QXX is everyone's shadow self. She is the brave part of 22nd floor girls self that they are ashamed of and they can't seem to do but deep inside, they admire her attitude in pursuing what she likes, like Zhao Qi Ping. And that's exactly what he loved about her. Lol I'm watching Season 2 and I'm crazy because QXX is my favorite bitch.
