Eye for an Eye..........
What happens when the system fails? DOWN WITH THE SYSTEM!!! EYE FOR AN EYE!!!If only the monstrous deeds done IRL were punished in the same light. It's only a dream for now. But this drama gives life to the hope the same could be done in the future~
The similarities to Juvenile Justice were nice albeit that one was more heavy and more criminalistic in nature by the end but the same theme. Putting kids in their place and if they cannot reform, put them away~
An organization dedicated to righting wrongs in the educational system. The main characters had dark stories behind their organizations forming. The cases they were tasked with encompassed all sorts of misdeeds done knowingly by teens and the occasional teachers and adults with influence outside like to overbearing parents. So all involved different approaches~
This was engaging and impossible to put down. Cast all played their parts to perfection. The hard nosed attacks was refreshing during a time IRL where kids are coddled and get away with anything. This is a must watch and could easily warrant a second run like Taxi, Crash, and Bloodhounds~

Great for a binge~
I was actually whining about a modern day horror flick being absent from the Kdrama world as of late. My fav genre is all about the zombies. 🤩While this one was was a historical one, it managed to hit all the right places~And it wouldn't be a Korean historical unless it was about the king..........it had ALL the makings of what you'd normally expect because these are WAY to predictable.
Plots against the throne. Faction vs faction. Heir replacements. Bad king. Bad QD. Bad sons and princes and ostracized royal members. Public hate for shamanism while employing it in secret. Cover ups. Useless murders and tormented palace staff taking falls........the supernatural horror is what makes this good though and it was used well. None of these scenes were lacking in visuals and makeup. Cast knocked it out of the park. And despite being able to forecast the plot somewhat, there were a couple of good twists that had me reeling in surprise and shock~
This a solid watch and it a nice return for the ML. It looked like a door was being left open for a 2nd run, if so I'll be there to watch for sure~

What did you feel? ?
I've a pair of girls ages 12 and 10. As a father, this was difficult to get through as violence against women and children literally makes me sick to my stomach. This drama was able to invoke almost the entire range of human emotions I'm, if not all of them. That means everything from the story to the acting was done at a very high level. It was dark and gritty. I don't think I can say what hasn't been conveyed in the reviews that came before June, so I just want to vent.
Morality, I don't think there's much to say explain. The villains were wrong. The retaliation was wrong. I did not feel good at the end of this piece because I wanted the suffering of the bad peeps to last much MUCH longer. What I saw as far as "justice" felt exactly about along the lines of what happens IRL Punishments, if any is actually given, NEVER fits the depravity of such crimes involving women and children. It's why vigilantism, whether it's for multiple ppl or just a one time thing, is becoming real. You do NOT deserve 2nd chances. Most of its being done by men since repercussions are a joke. There's no "accidents" with this stuff. Booze and drugs also should never provide mitigation either like it does in South Korea and other countries. One count SA and your done, physical or chemical castration. If it's a child, life In prison on top of it. Murder? Take a life, lose your own. Period. Barbaric? So we're the crimes.
W/e the case, this drama is going to hit you HARD in a lot of places. I'm not sure what you'll be feeling at the end. I've only watched a handful of dramas from this country as I'm more driven to watch Kdramas and Chinese historicals. But this is/was a SOLID watch~

Zzzzzz
Halfway through episode 5 and I was done. I had reached too many points where I lost track of what ppl were saying, what was going on, or flat out missed entire scenes and needed to go back. There's no hope of finishing if you find yourself in that state~PBY is a phenomenal actress but the story was so incredibly out there from the beginning that it had no hope of establishing a base start from in order to fan into reality. It's a drama ya but bars of gold, international and domestic smugglers and gangs, body counts piling up, and a little itty bitty who s poo ends her time being smashed and bashed around trying to keep and protect this misbegotten loot doesn't cut it for me with an actress of this caliber and I'm pretty sure it won't for many~

Its BAAAACCCKK!!! Final Edit 1/10/26
Its pretty rare when Kdramas we really like get a second run let alone a 3rd. This is picking up where it left off. Only one in and I am absolutely loving it. His characters when going undercover have me dying in laughter. I didn't know if anything would top his country boy hick character from season 2 but I bit tongue laughing at his second persona of the episode. 😖 I think this is going to do well!!Edit 12/28
Yeah.....this has been solid. I'd even wager it's safe to say this could merit a 4th run. It's not always about the baddies being put away or the dystopian social injustice issues they're doing their best to recompense. For me now, it's pretty much about what type of persona our guy here will adopt in taking them down. Which is why given the creativity we've seen through the entire drama run, that 4th or 5th run could actually become reality. In any case, the drama has rocked once again, if it has to end that's ok. Better to end strong.
Edit 1/10/26
Phenomenal drama as always. Last two episodes I was blown away because we finally got a good fat huge chunk of Driver Kim's back story as the case was directly tied to him. So yea, this could have a 4th run but this ended STRONG. Maybe it's best not to jeopardize it. But in any case, I loved it. 🥰

I'm sold. Edit 12/25
The synopsis hides no illusion on what this piece entails and I'm glad because it makes me less critical. I'm content to sit and watch. Only thing I'm not liking is the FL's eyes wide open in dismay/shock every 20 min or so. Kind of annoying 😅I do find myself annoyed at her for stacking lie on top of lie on top of lie when ML's temperament shows he would most likely understand and forgive her if told the truth.
Edit
Completed. Again, np with this piece because they flat out told you what it would be. Award winning? Hell no. Entertaining but it's just a mid. The relationship on the side held more interest for me. If I was to truly harp on something, it would be that inferiority complex they like to instill in supporting cast members such as the half sister and/or other employees, that kind of thing.
This isn't a must watch as far as viewing but it can occupy few hrs if your truly bored.
