Nan Xu Yue... oml I remember being underwhelmed at his reveal. BUT, the more I look at him the more I find him sooo pretty??? Like his eyes??? Gorgeous.
I don't know what people are on about but that ending was perfection. (Maybe at the end she could have muttered "Ziqi" when he called out, but still).
Like, everything tied together and wrapped up nicely. Everything made sense.
Esther and Yuxi need to work together more. I mean, story aside, it's their chemistry that makes this drama so good. I've attempted to watch his other recent works (like 7 Lives and Golden Age), but could not get past the first few episodes due to a lack of chemistry between the leading couple...
Here's my 2 grain of salt. Not an Esther bias but y'all are weird to pick her voice to hate on. Just a vibe, but it's really giving 'pick me.' Your favourite male actors aren't picking you regardless ok?
Again not an Esther fan, but you must be blind to not see how, at least in this drama, how good she does, regardless of past projects and whether or not she came from money. You can not deny the stark and chilling difference between Ling Miao Miao and Original Lin Yu.
So what if she's regularly typecasted into cute bubbly roles? I don't see people complaining when the male actors get typecasted into those stoic roles all the time where their job is to basically remain a log and glare (of course this is not able our very expressive Ding Yu Xi).
To be honest, for me, she's one of the few actresses who can do those types of roles without the cringe (I folded with that one chin-on-palm scene, she's adorable) and it feeling forced. That's definitely a win in Cdrama land where cute roles are so prevalent.
Anyway, we all need to stop literal entertainment so seriously and just enjoy it. If you don't like what you see, move on. No need to ruin the mood for everyone else, nor is there a need to so heavily criticise someone for something as minuscule as their voice.
Ngl, but does it seem like half the people who hate Taishin for being "naive" or "dumb" and only watch the show because Takara has a nice smile, don't realise how shallow and like jealous they sound?
Like girl, Taishin is the more interesting character of the two and just because he doesn't act the way YOU would act, doesn't make him a bad character.
The writing is lazy and rushed. The drama takes itself way too seriously. The "romance" makes no sense. Characters had potential, as the actors are decently good, but just fell victim to shallow writing. By episode 6 I got bored. Save your time guys.
HMH is such a great actor. His transition between the start of the series (TY that's stiff and full of silent anger) and now (TY that's soft and would be willing to give YH literally everything...) was so so smooth.
(Also, did not think my standards in fictional and IRL men could get any higher but it definitely did with the recent eps...)

Just saying.
