I am sorry what ugly group lovers ?.? . Sympathy isn’t the factor that made bts , skz one of the biggest in K-pop , they have freaking talent to produce dope music and are performers , and not just goody two shoe or flower boy visuals who don’t know how to perform and engage fans . There are tons of idols that debut but if you don’t have good music you are bound to be forgotten after a year or 2. What make K-pop groups still famous after years in industry is consistent music that their loyal fans love . Millions of people aren’t blind , we can distinguish between visuals but I won’t spend my hard earned money going to a concert to watch visuals rather than watch them perform ( not that lip syncing shit nowadays idols do) . These are the groups whose songs are on loop in our playlist . There are other famous groups like that too but I won’t name them by associating them with ugly or calling their success sympathy .
Female idol industry is doomed more than men , cuz females are scrutinised even more for their visuals , you won’t find many examples of talent overpowering visuals but atleast fans are trying to preserve than in male idols , but if you are a 5th gen ‘fan’ , I understand why you would think that .

Actually I have seen his clips multiple times where he specifically keeps pointing out people about their visual , making others feel lesser in comparison. It’s subtle and the others shrug it off but that doesn’t mean he didn’t say it
Ep 3 - the rankings sigh…… Though everyone is working hard , the people who are actually showing results arnt ranked high . I don’t know about others but if someone isn’t that talented and others are helping him out but that person gets to be in top rank just cuz of visuals , I would be so hurt . Also another issue with Lee hyop getting eliminated when that guy was ranked 13?? . Just cuz he isn’t that good at dancing doesn’t mean he is not one of the best vocalist in the show , there were other people too who can’t dance or those who can only dance and they atleast were 1 star , yeah that was rigged too . I don’t think he was so bad to be eliminated . I hate all of this , I will root for drippin’ .
Ep 4 - some of the c trainees really need to tone down their attitude, no matter how talented I can’t stand arrogant ones . Also Chen Bowen ?. That guy is main vocalist and he dances that well too , I want to see him in finals atleast . Loving NIAN BO HENG too , his charm maybe to similar to he xinlong btw , let’s hope them both luck . And finally JIANG FAN’s time to shine has come , our main dancer. Also how did they calculate the final ranking to be like THAT,,
I don’t believe in knetz to vote properly , let’s see how the on-site voting goes for the mission cuz max of the time it’s a disaster.

Anyway opinion after ep 1 , I loved choco1 performance the most , so much fun also yechan felt like the best rapper in the ep . IST, verivery were true K-pop performances ( also new entries in fav list park dongyu , hsu guy ) I agree with the judges on MCND performance, they appeared very laid back (in not a good way) , also I didn’t like the rapper’s performance. And our dear GRID ent, I was wondering in the trailers that they appeared really gloomy , especially sangwon , I liked how the judges pointed it out . And yes for me Leo was the best vocalist in this ep ( his vocal tone is what’s popular in current trends and the clarity in his voice was chefs kiss , he is a main vocal )
One of the best cdramas I watched . True enemies to lovers plot . The way they 1st built the trust between them before allowing themselves to fall in love , especially for the ML to let the feeling of betraying his family cuz he was falling in love to wash away, is commendable . Who doesn't love communication(credits to FMC for that) , no prolonged misunderstanding and so much faith between the couple . Gosh even me who has difficulty feeling the emotions watching a drama , cried in the initial eps with the way she was being treated. Also loved that the politics was easier to follow with mixture of humor with the side characters not making it too heavy .

Doesn’t jay has an original group ? Also one he debuted as a vocal group of 4 members . His hardships are endless , one of the best recent vocalist and he isn’t in a better group , maybe cuz of visuals 😭
Though like any other survival shows recently , it ended in a disappointment. But part 1 would still be one of my fav survival shows , like the amount of money starship blew was crazy . Also the original songs!! So good . The signal song , mini drama ost , also the song they did at the end of predebut ep ( I don’t know its name , but that was my fav ) , the concept songs !!! So good . Also I started loving minjae voice especially in part 2 , has a distinct charm . The show started with a rivalry between minjae and young hon to place 1st and ended the same way . It kinda felt those 2 were the main characters
Jiyoung doesnt have the visual to debut but wholeheartedly agree with wu hao
What about yoochan . He cannot be a visual as well but they selected him . Also he is underwhelming as a main vocal , others like wu hao , Jo minjae, jiyong have much better vocal tone . He has similar personality as jiyong . But jiyong was one of the most selfless persons I have seen in an idol survival show.

Yes . That’s what I thought . Seok jun would have been better . But he still wasn’t on my top 7 regardless. I still couldn’t understand like he wasn’t some exceptional visual ( I don’t like discrimination based on visual but to prove a point) , I like visuals of young hon , semin much more , even kyuhyun , he has the nerdy vibes . Semin kinda improved a lot especially in part 2 , also his vocal tone is pretty , so his was justifiable despite the short trainee period . This guy has one of the least trainee period . More than visuals , if he would have caught my attention in performances( like minjae , seonghun , junhyuk did ) , maybe that would have been justifiable. But never once did I notice him , forget the visuals . What’s the use of having him. What’s even funny is that in Pre debut performance I remembered that he hardly live sung his short part and that to his singing voice is bland and I never even heard him singing nicely throughout the show .
