Yes I watched a familiar stranger , never knew CHANG LEI started like that . Itās considered one of the best obviously , a different plot and good acting
The amount of views and rating is quite very uncommon in mini drama world so I was very qurious but after seeing Chang lei I was really surprised! !! Never knew he started like this and went to be ML in mainstream , like how many have done that ? But well I understand why cuz in terms of plot and acting it lacks nothing in comparison just short .
So it ended today , I was waiting for it to end . Btw the rating is crazy 9.2 ?? Wow I deliberately didnāt watch many edits after it started airing . I just wanna know if itās worth the hype to watch 40 eps . Well zhang linghe is half of the reason š«
Ok to tell the truth itās gotta be one of the best high school gmmtv bl series I have seen , maybe cuz itās short so no unnecessary drama but also how well it incorporated teens thinking process revolving the whole competition cuz it feels so REAL like I can see that happening in reality .
Like such outstanding but socially awkward ppl being an outcast and the jealousy not cuz they are bad but cuz everyone works hard and it stings when u know no matter how much u try , u cannot catch onto some people and the girlās whole breakdown and wanting to be true friends yeah REAL .
I maybe wanted an ep of them after err come back btw š„² , to see them actually together . Maybe cuz it was more of a pure high school drama I didnāt mind the romance aspect much . Is it how the actors kiss in their other dramas too btw š??

Well I had the same doubt too , I felt bad for juyeong when he took him to a high end restaurant and kinda humiliated him . But after watching the series I kinda understand dohoi better , like guy was already person who would retreat and treat it as it didnāt happen rather than fight cuz of his father abuse so knowing he ignored juyeong being hit on his exam day definitely took a toll on him . Juyeong also became a part of the trauma he wanted to escape so much . But worst was after we find out what actually dohoi was doing the past decade , no degree , so many failed attempts, forged documents but still gaining a sense of false superiority due to such deception, that guy definitely didnāt want juyeong to know so he bring up separation a third time when he finds out that juyeong knows . He cannot let juyeong think worst of him and so he was so against speaking of the past cuz itās all lies. And he did it for a child too which reminded him of his past , he isnāt a type too get involved but he did maybe cuz he had juyeong
Only after he broke his false image and start from scratch could he without a guilty conscience be happy with him .

I also had the same thought at first but after watching the whole series I understood that trauma is definitely one factor but as we know he is smart , he could have gotten into a uni but he had to get into the top uni architecture program cuz thatās what he said to the 2ml and his friends . Like he said that he liked that people around him thought high of him that he graduated from such a place making him different from his abusive father , and thatās what he wanted even though if was an false sense of safety . The pressure was too high and dohoi was completely in a self destructive state living in guilt too over what happened to juyeong .
Wow the reason I like Korean bls are cuz they are good at storytelling, even though angst is give but still I like them with good acting . Also juyeong !!! The man he is ā¦ Also about the MC I seriously didnāt quite understand what was happening until the last ep where I pieced everything together of after he left .
So he saw mL getting hit but ignored at first cuz didnāt want to get distracted on exam day but called the police but due to guilt he forfeited the exam and came back . He lied about getting into that uni as he came across 2ml and kept trying for what 4 ,5 yrs to get in that dept but couldnāt get in and he was in the same city as mL the whole time . The architecture model also hanging in his house arnt his . He forged his documents but later switched to teaching using fake documents. And he has been a teacher all these yrs, cuz of his guilty conscience he didnāt want to meet up with mL all these years .
There definitely were doubts in me like what was he doing in the uni ? If he was not admitted when he came across 2ml . All the talk between leads of who is guilty and dohoi down talking to mL like he hit his father or something and who did whom wrong made me all confused about what really happened to dohoi later . Also about the 2ml , I didnāt have any second lead syndrome here , how can u say u like someone if u see him getting bullied for his asshole father . Like donāt they know he had it tough then them , he also gets abused . Also his attempt to distract dohoi on day of exam by telling him about police complain and then what he saw him one day in uni and decide to be friends again , stayed with him a decade and knew about his forged degree but didnāt say anything just pulling out some crap like he would protect him silently , when he should have helped him for better , just watched dohoi destroying himself like that . If it wasnāt for meeting him , dohoi wouldnāt have to retake exams so many times to really get into that uni .
Anyway What happened to the child parents I wanted to know . Also I wanted a little snippet into the leads future like did dohoi finally get in . Also what off juyong family ?. No mention of them in the future
Why are those 4 so cute , it was definitely sweet but the plot flow is kinda weird cuz of less time especially for the 2nd couple , the skip in their relationship status made me unable to connect with them properly . Well I would have been happy even if it was 10 eps ,š
I would say more than the plot I loved the 2 leads . MC with glasses š„ looked amazing . The chemistry between 2 mature leads was beautiful. I loved the visuals
Sorry a rating of 9 ?.? Like max 8.5 , for me an 8 Well itās my personal take but I can see the appeal of a good lighthearted drama Maybe cuz comedy is very subjective and I am not a huge fan of it personally
A good mini drama ! Amazing , no cringe acting. The female actresses really nailed it . The ML at first definitely kinda looked a bit more like a child infront of a mature FML I thought maybe they should have casted someone who looked a bit more grown but later he grew on me š the fact he kinda looks like Chen zheyuan . Also man is 30+ like ā¦ā¦ I thought early 20s Maybe they should have given a break instead of constantly attacking the FML , it would have been a much better drama The FML can definitely go into mainstream dramas , she looked so beautiful

I also really loved s6 . The romance was good but the best things was the bromance šš . Also cuz the couples werenāt decided since ep 1, the twist and turns kept me from loosing interest

Watch the familiar stranger . Chang lei is the ML there . Absolutely one of the best ML I have ever seen even in main stream dramas . Observant , not possessive and uses his head rather than distrust the FML. Also plot is good and rest of actors also are amazing
