I just finished episode 11 and now I just want them to be together, especially because I saw some spoilers and I know they sleep together "pretty early" in the episodes and same for their wedding (I mean it's not in the very last ep). If the woman being older was really a problem why are they so many noona romance drama ? I think the problem a lot of people had with the age difference in TFF is because he is an experienced actor and she’s more a rookie (we’ve seen her on our screen since what, 2020?). And it’s not the first time he acts with someone way younger (Shen Yue in Count Your Lucky Stars). So people are maybe thinking he might enjoy acting with only younger female leads. And this drama is much more sensual that Count Your Lucky Stars was so that must be disturbing to a lot of people too. I don’t say what you wrote is wrong, I totally agree that we normalize the older guy/younger woman trope more than the noona romance. But noona romance is starting to be accepted a lot (personally it’s my favorite kind of romance) and I think that’s cool. The weirder thing in all that is that some age gaps are accepted easily and others don’t (there’s almost 20 years between the leads -real life- in The Rational Life and I don’t remember seeing a lot of negative comments). On what basis are people judging the age gap ? I have no idea and I just want to tell these people that if they don’t like it, nobody forces them to watch the drama. I have seen both Xu Ruo Han and Jerry Yan in other projects and I was really waiting to see her again, less excited for him lol. I was very surprised by the chemistry between them.
