Johnny Lu Sze-ming, the rest of the cast and the crew complained about the scorching heat in Qinbi Village (Matsu Islands, Taiwan) during the filming. I appreciate the awesome job they have done in spite of the circumstances. All I could feel was the freshness of the cool breeze from the sea, never the heat from the scorching sun.
This is your penny-plain, straight-forward, feel-good romance. Nothing extraordinary, but it does what it is intended to do: it ultimately makes you feel good. I just wish there were more of a build-up in the connection between the leads, or that the writer and director had tapped more into their past teenage love, and shown the actual romance as a rekindling of past feelings. The way things were done made it seem as though Bo Dan Wu was just trying to get laid, while Xiao Wei deep down was looking for a way out of Jing Town.
Beautiful cinematography. I liked the personal touch at the end with what I believed to be a picture of Johnny's mother, and her letters. Looking for something light and somewhat fluffy to watch on a slow Sunday afternoon? This is it.
I like Johnny Lu Sze-ming as an actor; I think he fares rather well in his craft, but needs a better agent. I also like Johnny for being a devoted husband and father, a hunk at 40+, and a ferocious kisser; he has proven so in Life Plan A and B, and 100 Days. The first half was excellent. After Episode 6, there were certain plots holes, but the series remains a good watch overall. I really liked the dual language communication between the leads. You could still sense their chemistry though they did not fully understand each other. Too bad their kisses were only little pecks. It was as though they were afraid of each other’s mouths, lol.
This man's smile is absolutely beautiful and addictive, akin to a drug. Why? Because he always only smiles for a couple of seconds at a time and then... HE STOPS! NEVER MORE! The movie has a slow start, but please stick with it; you won't be disappointed. The last 30 minutes are brilliant. Ja Yoon's parents and her best friend Myung Hee are the epitome of "Unconditional Love".
I would love to see Part 2, with Ja Yoon and her sister wreaking havoc wherever they go.

The title of this film is quite à-propos: some of the scenes incited sheer rage within me. After the rage ensued the sadness, and then came the tears... lots of tears. Very well done.

There was nothing questionable about either rape scenes. Make no mistake: what happened during Yuma and Naoto's first encounter WAS/IS rape. The fact that they both ended up in a relationship later does not negate the fact that Yuma forced himself on/inside a perfect stranger who was unwilling to have intercourse with him.
I adored the soundtrack for this drama by Takashi Ohmama, but could not find any traces of it online. Please share the link to it if you do find it. Thanks very much.
